Thank you for sharing your experience! My 6 year old daughter is having this surgery done next week and I’ve felt so sad watching other videos. This seems to be a more positive experience ❤

I felt the exact same way from other videos. I’m so happy you were able to feel hopeful during this time and I pray everything goes well with your daughter’s surgery. Only if you can, could you please let me know everything turned out in the future? Thank you!!🙏

Very good video. Thanks for the info. I'm having trouble finding anything that works well and doesn't kill my locs. My hair is pretty long and my coverage usually last about 2 1/2 weeks. I get gray around my edges and a few patchy spots on my scalp. I think I'm gonna try this product. It seems to be working well for you. Thanks again. It's a little over $13 on Amazon

I am 22 months into my mircoloc journey and has never ever braid and band with washing even my loctition says it fine. Now I use leave in conditioner and my spray bottle with rose water and a carrying oil maybe twice a week. But yes do whatever works best for you. This is not a one size fits all. Glad you are enjoying your locs

I would say a couple of months because a little goes a long way. Just don’t mix a lot each session because you’ll want to discard the mixed batch every time.

OMG you are telling my story. I combed out my traditional locs after 18 yrs and started DIY micro locs. I am 3 months in and I am interlocking this time. I use most of the products you mentioned and I moisturized my hair Every day with water based products. I wash my hair biweekly and no braiding and banding for me either. I am really “baby-ing” my hair, it’s really short but it is growing now. I will be glad once I get a little more length for styling purposes. I use a lot of headbands and wraps for now. Congrats on your new journey we are both coloring outside the microlocs lines.

You can definitely switch to pal rolling but just be cautious on constantly going back and forth with the methods. Your locs will end up lumpy.

Thanks for sharing! No need to apologize. You have to do what's best for you and your daughter ❤ I combed out 2 sets of locs in my daughter's hair. The main reason? Lint😅 Lint is a booger. I could fully understand why my daughter had so much with her 1st set (traditional palm rolled, age 3-10) because she was young. They roll around on the floor, wild sleeping causes bonnets to fall off at night, etc. Her 2nd set (braidlocs, age 10-12), I didn't watch close enough, and we experienced the lint again. She wanted to experience loose hair after that. She only lasted 7 months. I installed set #3, microlocs, she's about to be 13. This will be the last set I install. These will go with her into adulthood😊. What she does with her hair after this, is her decision. She loves her locs, the low maintenance, the freedom. I'm so glad. She was over the detangling and long hours of styling in crochets, box braids, etc. It's good to see you and be blessed on your journey 🙏🏾❤️
