Absolutely marvelous. One of my favorite albums ever, I loved it when I was 9 and I'm still listening at age 23 today. Thank you both for your forever work.

Wow. An XTC tribute band is wild in itself, but to pick a left-of-center track like Complicated Game is wonderfully unexpected.

I liked the behind the scenes footage of the making of this album! I wished that thrkerexwas more footage or my brother Joe on the drum kit! Also this album happens to be one of my favorite DTJ albums! Are there any plans to put the album back on band camp as well as possibly posted on KZfaq and Apple Music in the near future? I’d like to have those albums, of course to help complete my catalog of Dovetail Joint recordings, including my now somewhat rare CD copy of Dovetail Joint’s original so-called white album that was recorded independently back in 1993 in Iowa city Iowa

Probably the best cover of this particular XTC song I've heard. Getting that sound is rough, but you guys nail it. Right before they went for the more studio/pastoral sound to boot. Excellent job on this.

Did he play on every song on the three records you did with them? How many other drummers were involved? Did Nick play on any of the final takes for any songs? I’ve spent the last 18 years as a dedicated fan (and drummer) always wondering who’s playing drums on each JB song.

@@johnstrawberriusfields John, thank you for responding to this comment so quickly. Those three albums were my introduction into the pop rock world, I am a career drummer now who literally learned drums by learning how to play those three albums front to back when I was a kid in 06-09. That drum question was plaguing my mind for literally years and you just answered it so quick. I would pay a lot of money to watch a documentary or gather all the info about the writing, demoing, recording process of these albums. How much of the guitars were done by the boys and how much of the guitars were done by session musicians, how much of the stuff from the Gibson recording bus actually made it onto the record, and how much of that was scratch, How much of the songs did the boys have written before they came into the studio to work with you. These albums kickstarted everything for me.

@@jasonflanders5643 all guitars were played by the band and I with john taylor playing solos. there were rough demos on the 1st album, but after that not so much. creating from scratch in the studio was the MO.

@@johnstrawberriusfieldsamazing, so basically what their live setup was as well! Thank you so much for this info, John, someday I hope to see some deep dive content into the making of these albums. Appreciate you responding to me. Those guitar, drum, and writing/recording processes questions have been living rent free in my head for years.

Disco was under heavy attack at that time by classic rock platforms everywhere. They were upset that disco took over the music scene all over the world for so long. That's why when Nirvana came along they promoted the heck out of them and the whole grunge scene. Its not supposed to be a competition but...$$$.
