Tendrian que eleigir entre la modernizacion del portaaeronaves Principe de Asturias o el programa de las fragatas F-110 y los submarinos S-80.Entonces decidieron por la segunda opcion los submarinos S-80 y las F-110 debido a que el presupuesto no alcanzaba para ambas cosas.

It's remarkable how a touch of magic from the Cunard funnel and a traditional dark hull contrasting the white superstructure turns what is an otherwise rather ungainly ship into quite a classy and stately looking one.

A great ship, a proper ship, have many happy memories! So sad she was scraped, as the last large passenger ship built in the UK, she should have been preserved!!!
