I think those wheels should be out about 4" more on both sides, with optional 4" lift on spring shackles to frame, in other words wheels should be almost even with outer edge of dump body....... The problem I have with ALL ALL ALL bigger dump trailers is the wheels are outside the dump bed, and the dump beds is at 60" wide, 60" is to wide for me, but 54" is just right. So far this is the closest size trailer for me I found anywhere.....

I have this trailer, except mine has a folding gate. Great trailer, I love it. One recommendation is to add an option for a tongue box. I always need some place to stow my straps and a battery box for a trailer winch when the UTV is broken and needs to get on the trailer.

I have a sure-trac and I wish you would offer an optional hoist upgrade to your lower end models. I'm going to upgrade with a Load Trail with a scissor hoist standard equipped.

I have been happy with my 16’ gooseneck telescopic dump, with low sidewalls. It is not as fast as a scissor lift, but never stresses with heavy loads. I use it to move my excavator and a couple extra D rings would be appreciated. And this is a small complaint but you may want to find a new zero fitting supplier, I had 3 of yours break off with the first use. All considered, the trailer is well made and has served me well. I use it almost daily around our farm.

How many yards of mulch will the 6x12 3-board highside hold?

In theory, the dimensional space would allow just under 4 yards of mulch. However, pending the moisture content of the mulch, you would likely exceed the payload capacity (1690) of the trailer before completely filling the trailer with mulch.

Heavier axles and taller sides are an option. Not sure how much mulch you are trying to hold, but you can figure rough cubic yards by taking "length (ft) x Width (ft) x height of side walls (ft), then divide by 27. This will help to determine what size of trailer will help you achieve your desired application.

I just ordered a 6x12 tandem axle tube top utility trailer through my dealer. I’ll be taking delivery the first week of February ‘24. I’m really looking forward to it! I plan to haul firewood and a water tank to the campground with it. I’ll also be starting a KZfaq channel in the spring to showcase our adventures with the new Sure-Trac trailer!

I just bought a brand new Sure Trac 5x8 utility trailer and the whole gate is rusting and there's rust all over the frame on top and underneath. It is only a month old.

It depends on which gate you have on your model. Our 4' gates can handle 2500 lb., our 5' gates can handle 2200 lb., our split gate can handle 3625 lb., and our HD ladder reinforced gate can handle 2800 lb.

Hi, I just bought this trailer, mine does not tilt as quickly upon unlocking without standing on the end and bouncing up and down to force it to drop, it takes about 1 minute to drop and takes about 1.5 minutes of myself bouncing to flatten out to lock. I find this very annoying as I need to use this trailer in the dead of winter in Winnipeg in Canada. How can the piston pressure be changed or reduced for my trailer to operate as the one in your video?

We have multiple gate options for our landscape / utility trailers. The most common is the "reinforced" gate which contains "ladder rungs" between the outer uprights to provide additional support.

Does this trailer have trailer brakes, and a leaf suspension?

Our Tandem axle units have brakes on both axles, and include a leaf spring suspension. Single axle units will also contain leaf suspension, but will come standard with an idler axle. A brake upgrade is available.

do you have heavier springs that can be installed. i just bought the 9900 version with the longer tailgate and its still a little hard on the back. When you mow grass for a living you have to open and close this thing 20 times a day. or do i have to install the gator lift on it also?

Sorry, we do not have a different spring option that would work, nor fit in that configuration. Typically anything with any more tension would not allow the gate to sit properly on the ground. The Gorilla / Gator lift might be a feasible option for you.

Is it normal for the sure trac gates to be hard to latch and unlatch. I walked through my local dealer and the 2 trailers I was interested in 7x12 and 6x12 I could not get the latches to latch the gate in the upright position. I’m a strong male, and could not do it. I think maybe the holes needed adjusted with a grinder or something. Odd that this was on BOTH trailers I wanted to buy. It has me second guessing the purchase.

Good morning and thank you for reaching out. I will say that the powder coating on those tabs can make a tighter fit for those pins. The powder may be a little heavy on those tabs. I have done several videos on our trailers and I have experienced that from time to time. Without verifying the actual placement of the latches, I can't say for sure that the paint is the main culprit, but is very likely.

Telescopic is just to flimsy. Id be terrified of not being on perfectly flat ground. Also, if you bump, or drop something on that lift its gonna mess it up. Scissor lift or dual ram all the way.

For the last 4-5 years the Telescopic hoist has proven to be very efficient. So much so, that a lot of the key trailer manufacturers have added the telescopic hoist to their lineup. But, the Scissor lift and Dual Ram units have long history of being reliable hoist options. Can't go wrong either way!

We have bought 2 Sure-Trac trailer and they're very expensive. Getting parts for them takes way to long. We've been waiting 3 months for a replacement axle ordered from one of their dealers. They don't carry anything... everything has to be ordered by the dealer from Sure-Trac, for us... this has been a very slow process. The "Find a Dealer Link" seems fine for buying a trailer, but many shops like ours are quite capable a repairing our equipment... if the dealer stocked parts or could get them in a reasonable amount of time... fine, otherwise it would be nice to get them directly from the OEM, I think they must make them as they build them and have no stock of parts??? UPDATE: After contacting Joe we're getting our axle Monday. Great support at corporate!

@@SureTracTrailersPage Here is the dealer in our area which is St. Louis, Mo. Mid America Truck Tops & Trailers, 501 Howerton Ln, Eureka, MO 63025. They are nice enough people but say all they can do is order and wait... we've been having a busy season and it's just been a shame to have that nearly brand-new trailer parked. One of our drivers cut a turn a little close and clipped a fire hydrant with the right front tire and bent the spindle.

My first assumption is that perhaps Mid America is / was waiting for a load that these parts could ship on to save the freight. But most of the time, parts can be shipped rather quickly. Use one for my case 1840 skid steer, it's perfect. People look at me like I'm nuts hauling a skid steer on a one axle trailer using a f150 3.5 eco boost, but its well within the weight rating. I have a 6.5 x 12, 10K sure-trac single axle, my skid steer is 5,560 pounds, trailer payload capacity is 7,700 pounds. With 15 percent tongue weight I get a trailer axle weight of 6,585 pounds, trailers GWAR rating is 8,000 pounds. My trailer gross weight is 7,750 pounds, trailer max GVWR is 9,900 pounds. Have also hauled a deere 30G mini excavator on it a few times, 7,220 pounds operating weight, and it's within the weight rating.

this is pretty confusing. The tamper proof screws 3/8 x 1” are pretty hard to find in a course thread. You call them bolts in the video, but I don't see a fine thread bold holding very well. Can you help us out here? I think a lot of people (like me) bought the hinge and are struggling with this part. Is there a reason you don't just put a bolt through the wall like you do with the door? Thank you!!!

We don’t put a bolt through the wall because it isn’t needed with our method of installation. If you want to install the barlock, it shouldn't be a problem. You could probably just drill all the way through the wall stud, and interior wall covering, and use a bolt that is long enough to go all the way. I’d use a washer and locknut on the inside.

There "method" isn't great, there's barely a 1/8" of threads holding the security bolts.... be careful tightening or you will strip them!

I have a John Deere 1025R subcompact tractor with loader and Mower Deck. Fully loaded with ballast weight and operator its probably just over 3,000lbs. Are the aluminum gates on the landscape trailers able to handle that much weight when loading/unloading? Or, do you offer a HD Gate or just ramp option on the landscape trailer. To be more specific I am looking at 7x14 7k Tandem Axle ATV to Tube Top Style.

I'm sure you've found the answer by now but for anyone looking in the future, 2200lb on the bifold gate and 2400lb on the side atv ramp. Base weight on the 1025R is 1556lbs, I'm betting you are over estimating yourself at 3k
