Great Video! I was just about to buy a MrCool 110v system at $1738 and might reconsider. One issue is I have to have a 25 foot minimum line between inside to outside and this unit you recommend I don't think comes with that length (?).

I believe all sellers on the links I provided will accomodate the lines to your specs needed, just reach out to the seller, and ask that question.

Hello Sir, My mini split system was leaking and lost all its freon. Now I need to recharge it to full capacity. The outdoor unit comes with 2.82 lbs of refrigerant, which includes a 15-foot line set. Should I buy a refrigerant weighing scale to recharge the system, or can I follow your method that uses PSI readings around 117-120?
@SaveGreenHere5 күн бұрын
Yes, get a scale. Add exactly 2.82 pounds. Just press "ZERO" button on the scale. Then start adding until you get to 2.82 pounds. Here is a scale that has that capability and is inexpensive. ALso, make sure you look at my other videos on making sure the seal is tight, using the Flareseal here---> amzn.to/4dhlvoS I added a video on that here---> kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nreagsuI0K3RfWg.html

I sugest a 9000 BTU for any 15 amp circuit like this one... amzn.to/4dcwlN0 because it only is 27 decibels, so it's super quiet. Also has heat pump mode, and is 19 SEER. These things are AWESOME, and at $450, you can't get a better deal! Now, if you must go with a 12,000 BTU system, your circuit on your breaker, where you are installing this, needs to be 20 AMP, and make sure its at MINIMUM, a 20 SEER unit. This is a great model, --->amzn.to/4dcwlN0 and it does the job for a bit of a larger space over the 9000 BTU, or for extreme hear areas, like Florida, or the Southwestern part of the USA. (Las Vegas, Phoenix, etc.) This model has a higher decibel rating (41 db) but still quieter than a public library.

Frustrating part on all the videos they never specify if you turn on or off your ac unit while charging.

The video clearly shows the unit running while doing this, meaning it's obvious that the unit needs to be running, IN COOL MODE. Look at the other 2453 times others asked the same question for this video, and you will also get the answer 🤷♂️

My Blendjet 2 was subject to the recall. I complied with their directive in January 2024 in order to receive a replacement base. It is now the 18th July 2024 and I still have not received my replacement. Further when I requested an update as to when the replacement would be dispatched, they would not give me a time frame. When I suggested they just replace mine from their new stock, they ignored my suggestion. I would not recommend anyone purchase a Blendjet 2. You would be better advised to purchase a Ninja Blast. I am so peed off with Blendjet.

Don't forget to shut the valves on the manifold before you shut the pump off. Why well because I once didn't do that and I sucked mineral oil from the vacuum pump back into the auto AC system I just got done replacing everything on. I had to completely disassemble and flush it all out replace the oil in the compressor. I have a really old vacuum pump from the 80's it was a good one back then just old maybe newer pumps have a way to keep the mineral oil from being sucked up. Once you turn off the pump now the system is at a vacuum and will suck back though the pump.

I know this is going to sound crazy but i want to do this for my garage. I live in south texas and air flow sucks in my 2 car garage and i would love to do some work in it. Do you think its worth adding a duct to my garage and if so, what size?
@SaveGreenHereАй бұрын
Well, if you supply air to any room, you also need a return. Not having a return is like running your unit with a window open. The air will simply not return to the unit to be re-conditioned. That being said, doing this in a garage is actually a DANGER because of possible carbon manoxide, and fumes such as paints, gasoline, and others. Your best solution is to install one of these for under $400..... amzn.to/3KSguY1 Search my youtube, as we have various videos on them.
