i'd never try speedrunning, im too old, but i always wondered how these streamers get their timers to start at the exact time they hit play in game, and they all look the same too. is it some sort of program? edit: im also noticing it pauses when the screen is black. it must be a program.

anybody know why he deliberately EX Lobber shoots the ground instead of the actual boss? like, what makes that faster, does it do more damage or something? like at 3:41 during the frog fight

this is an invalid speed run because it pauses between each track while you wait for it to start

it loading thats why it pauses so it doesn’t give an unfair advantage to people with stronger hardware

Glad you noticed that, thanks! That was something I had the idea for probably like 5 years ago, but I always either lost DPS or broke even at best, but now I am finally good enough at it to actually gain DPS on it which, while small it does add up over the whole phase and is especially useful when you need to do little dodges around flames and imps.

You must be using Damage cheating, as the damage you are dealing is much higher than in the original version!

I am not using any form of cheating, but I am using tech and glitches that exist within the game along with over 2k hours of experience and refined and heavily practiced strategies. I released a 9-hour long 5 part advanced tutorial series explaining everything I do and how I do it and these things can be recreated in anyone's game on this version of the game without any need of a cheat engine or anything similar. This ain’t world record, at least according to a video from three years ago of a 23 minute speed run

The 23 minute run is for the 1.0 version of the game which had a lot more glitches that sped up the run. On Speedrun.com these are referred to as "legacy" speedruns but my video is for version 1.1+ which is quite a bit different and this is currently the official verified record on www.speedrun.com/Cuphead for this patch and category.
