Man looks like you have the older version of Cerakote too! Love that stuff. *Quick pro tip though after a min or so of wiping it on, do a quick leveling wipe using a microfiber, and the finish will be a beautiful satin sheen that can’t be beat! 🔥

You painted both bumpers... I'm just wanting to Blackout the silver wing parts, since my bumpers look good. Does the Texture of that product match the texture of the OEM bumper or is it smooth like spray paint? As far as the front skid plate, I would get a OEM "TDR" plate to install. I also matched the skid plate with a set of RCI skid plates, with the Cat guards, on both my FJ & the GF's 4Runner. Looks great and the GF thinks extra weight made her 4Runner feel more stable.
@FJColby4 күн бұрын
This bed liner reminds me of the same kind of look as plasti dip, but with a little more texture. I would say if you are comparing this bed liner to the OEM plastic and looking at them under a foot away, the bed liner is a little more textured than the plastic. However if you just did the wings, from about 5 feet away it would be a match…as long as you have treaded the plastic bumper with a trim restorer or cerakote. As far as the skid plates, i will definitely look into those! Thanks for the comment.

the FJ's backup camera is located in the center of the spare wheel from the factory the one you have is added by the dealer I still don't know why some dealers cheap out on it and install an aftermarket one. I have a 16 FJ from the Saudi dealer and it comes with the factory camera that works on the rearview mirror another example is The UAE's dealer puts the camera in one of the license plate lights .

@tyler048714 күн бұрын
Im glad you know your definitely oblivious to your surroundings. If you need a back up cam on a FJ that you cant even use with a trailer hitch attached🤦♂️ Learn to use your mirrors and have situational awareness. 👎
@FJColby13 күн бұрын
The backup cam is for things hiding behind the spare tire that are not visible to mirrors. I expressed this in the video, but I must have not made it clear enough… if you watched the whole video, the purpose of the magnet was so that I COULD STILL USE THE TRAILER HITCH. Even with a trailer attached I can position the camera to where it would best be useful…but honestly, the camera is not very useful when the trailer is attached, unless I stretch the cam to a position above the spare tire. However, I always hesitate trusting the camera, but I always trust my mirrors…and grammar ;)

I have a few dense black pieces that could be cut to fit & glued up to wedge into the gaps between the cowl & lights to fill & cushion, alternately I've also cut those dark grey/ black anti-fatigue mats to cushion & gap fill on my FJ (I used the mat edge trim pieces on my snorkel 'cuz I didn't want to drill into the "A" pillar, I just use silicone adhesive to attach) D "(rev. 3:11" on forum)
