maria is the representation of mary that james wanted, a seductive and loving girl, but actually maria is only like this at first sight, "on the outside" shall we say, cause actually maria is the version of mary that james didn't want, the mary that is sick in hospital "unable to love james, and be there with and for him", like he should have for her, as maria says here 0:56, she's telling him what mary could have told him if she didn't die, she's trying to let him understand that it's his fault, and that he's not understand why he's even here and sad about mary's death. it's amazing

Maria is a reflection of Mary’s late behavior towards James. Where she was mad at herself for dying and mad that he couldn’t do anything to save her. Notice how she asks him to never leave her then when he goes in for a hug she immediately pushes him away.

Although I only started watching the gameplays on these two games, I think Slezz is the worst boss battle of the series. Granted she looks scary and cool, but she seems to do nothing but dance with her wings and shoot green slime out of her nipples. The only cool thing she really does is throw enemies at you and even generating wind to push you back if you try to physically attack her. I think she would have benefitted as a boss if her wings were impervious to damage when she uses them to block your attacks even when you throw the bombers to her. This would result in you (the player) having to use the bombers to attack the exposed parts of her body to have her stop blocking before you throw another bomber to her belly. Not to mention, physically attack you with said wings which would make dodging imperative for you to take a lot of damage. That's might just be me though because these games look really fun to play.
