I have listened the story very carefully, and I found some of the narrations from the key informants are something deceitful. I am originally from ethnic group of Amhara, Ethiopia. when the interviewee present the story, they have tried to present as if all the handicraft members of the community are ethiopian jews but the reality is not. All the handicrafts in ethiopia are not jews (Bet Israel) and vice versa. In addition to this the northern shewa community of Moret and Jeru are the parts of the Amhara society, but the story teller said that they are anti-semitic people. Surprisingly this communities are belongs to the Semitic society. You can google that even recently the cushitic memebers of the Oromo ethnic groups blame the Amhara, as if they are anti cushitic. Can you even imagine that still the majority of the jews community resides in Gonder the place where the majority of them are Orthodox christians and if they are hatred, can they live together till now with such loving neighborship relation? I found the story has been presented far from the reality.
