It's funny Christopher Lee mentions that Star Wars is his the last collaboration with Peter Cushing in a way. One of the very first novels released under the Disney canon after the EU was relabeled 'Legends' was called Tarkin which focused on his backstory and his rise to power in the Empire. At one point he was governor of his home planet Eriadu and Count Dooku meets with Tarkin to convince him to take Eriadu out of the Republic Senate and join the Separatist Alliance and get into a heated debate about the stability of the Republic and the need for newer stronger order. In reality Dooku was actually ordered by Darth Sidious (who's in the public guise of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine) to test Tarkin's loyalty which certainly paid for him in the long term. The audible version is narrated by Euan Morton and he does a phenomenal job impersonating Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. It was published in late 2014 so Christopher Lee would've still been alive and makes me wonder if he ever had the opportunity to read it.

For some reason, when he mentioned that part about how Peter Cushing would sign his letters really got to me. The genuineness to wording combined with the strong friendship conveyed by how Christopher Lee talks about it can't be understated

I loved Christopher Lee in Dark Shadows (2012). He is a perfect sea captain and reminded me of the original Bill Maloy, who was a fantastic character back in original Dark Shadows (1966).

Horror icon, jedi, wizard this man could do it all, he will be fondly remembered by all.

Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. I grew up watching a LOT of old old horror movies. Old school Dracula films in black and white. Loved watching these two great actors back then.

It’s sad Peter Cushing was only in Episode IV. After watching Clone Wars, Rebels,Bad Batch and Rogue One, I’ve really got to like his character. I wish Cushing was alive to see how much his character was built and how big his character was in the Star Wars universe because when he passed in 1994 they only had the Originals out and that’s all he got to see.

Sir Christopher is leagues above someone like Harrison Ford. Every film he’s in he devotes himself to the character he plays and those he interacts with. He knows the story. Ford is just an asshole there for the cash. That’s it. He hates the story, he has no respect for the story or the characters. It really shows the difference between The Greatest Generation and the Baby Boomers. In short, fuck Harrison Ford.

Mr. Lee was a great actor. It is sad and unfortunate that Mr Lucas was unable to use both them in the same film.

I also remember Peter Cushing's Van Helsing chasing after Christopher Lee's Dracula in several movies, eventually ending Dracula's life with a well-placed stake through the heart of the Prince of Darkness.
