Does this recipe only make one pie crust? Oftentimes two cups of flour yields a two crust pie.
@midwestnicemakes4 ай бұрын
It makes one pie crust. You'd have to make a double batch for a double crust pie. In my professional experience (used to make hundreds of pies a year!), one cup of flour is not nearly enough to make a crust that will comfortably fit in a 9-inch pie shell.

As a barista I wish I could go back in time 20 seconds when I didn't know instant espresso was a real thing. Fighting back tears right now.
@midwestnicemakes5 ай бұрын
I was a barista once upon a time too. I think instant espresso is great in terms of accessibility! For people in dorms, camping, or those who don't have the budget for an espresso machine.

Is instant espresso same as instant coffee? if it is then pouring hot water first is a bad idea ig.. it tastes bitter
@midwestnicemakes5 ай бұрын
No, they’re not the same. I get into it in way more detail in my blog post (linked in the description), but you’re spot on! FYI - I post YT vids as a supplement to my blog and to increase SEO, etc. so I can’t share every detail here but I still like to provide an instructional video! ☺️

Was the cold brew poured diluted or was it concentrated? What was the ratio?
@midwestnicemakes6 ай бұрын
You can find all the measurements and super detailed instructions in the blog post which I have linked in the description! But, when it comes to the cold brew, I say do what you prefer. Some people like to drink the concentrate and some people like it diluted. The great thing about making these recipes at home is you can customize them!

Why do you not list amount of ingredients?
@midwestnicemakes6 ай бұрын
Because I have the entire recipe listed in my blog post (which is linked in the description!). It not only includes ingredients and instructions but also helpful step-by-step photos as well as tons of tips and tricks in the post. From common ingredient subs to storage methods, uses, and more! KZfaq is another way for me to get my recipes out to people, but my blog makes me income via ads, so I post my recipes there so I can continue to have a career and provide free recipes to readers and viewers like you :)

Why chill overnight?
@midwestnicemakes8 ай бұрын
Allowing the batter to rest means the strands of gluten in the flour can relax so when the leaveners are activated the muffins get as tall as possible. It's not a totally necessary step, but it's the key to getting tall muffins. You can absolutely just bake once the batter is mixed if you prefer. You can find a whole host of tips and info in the blog post which I have linked in the description :)

Why isn’t there any measurements in the detail box or on the ingredients website?
@midwestnicemakes9 ай бұрын
There is an entire recipe card on the website that includes ingredients, directions, and more. There's even a green button at the top of the page that says "Jump to Recipe" that will take you right to all that info. Plus, the blog post itself is full of step-by-step photos and even more details. As for why the measurements aren't in the description box it's because I don't make any money on KZfaq. I make income via the ads on my website and it's only from visitors coming to my site that I can provide these free recipes - and those free recipes include videos, photos, recipe cards, and more!
