Do you put a barrel swivel on the bottom bouncer to prevent line twist? Nice video.

Hey Zack, thanks for watching! We just posted a new fishing report. The Trappers road is still closed to the public, but people are finding fish in shallow weeds, top and bottom of humps depending on time of day, and boulders always seem to hold fish. Give us a call if you'd like to schedule anything for this year or next! (218) 836-2500

Here is the deal. We came up there on the day they recorded this. We were put in 8 feet of water with 4 feet of weeds below us. We asked to be moved and were not moved till late Saturday morning. They made a big deal out of our request to move. We were not moved out to where the other 14 or so ice houses were in 20 feet of water. We were moved to 13 or 14 feet of water off by ourselves. This spot was better but the question is why us? Why were we not moved to where you know the fish were? Why were we used as Guinea pigs to see if there were fish elsewhere? The resort was fantastic but the attitude and the fact that we were not put where they know the walleye were biting was mind boggling. It is sad because everything else was great.

Hello, I'm sorry we had these issues while you were here. We had your day house on a shallow water perch bite in Miller bay. We had caught fish on previously and, it just didn't work out the day you came out. The sleeper houses are in a different spot for the overnight walleye bite, so we didn't want to stick you out there. We are sorry we gave you the feeling that it was an inconvience to move you asap. We made the move as soon as we efficently could. We're glad we could offer you excellent lodging, hopefully next time the fish will coporate a little better for us all.

Where would you recommend to fish this weekend on leech lake?
@Trapperslandinglodge4 жыл бұрын
There is going to be a lot of changes from this report to this weekend. With the sun coming out this week, we are just seeing shiners come up shallow. So any wind blown point with rocks and sand, basically all of them, will do you well. Pitch a Northland long shank fireball/stand up jig with a shiner into the shallows, or troll from .8-1.2mph and you'll find'm in under 9 fow.
