I disagree about capris they are much cooler than longer length trouser styles. That said I haven't worn them for years for style reasons. Surprised you didnt substitute these with wide leg linen mix which are cool.

Shoes are my biggest fashion challenge since I have very sensitive feet and wear a heel lift. So, I have learned to make my shoe choices and then build outfits.

First time watching your channel. I was shopping today and was frustrated with all the tops that had huge prints. I could not find a solid color except for Tshirts. I am 5’2”, 120lbs and I look enormous wearing large prints. I like your channel and just subscribed. You are fun to watch, friendly and funny personality.

Welcome! And thank you SO much! That made my day! I am so glad you are here. We are the same height and it can be really hard to find cute items without crazy prints. SO frustrating!

You think Birkenstocks are modern?? That style has been around for decades! I used to wear them over 30 years ago and they haven’t chang3d! I think those are the least modern shoes you showed.

Watch out for too many pastels…especially on the bottom. I don’t understand why “fashion” would dictate wearing turquoise or pink capris with flowery tunics. I see women wearing them and they are likely younger than me (I’m 69) but those clothes make them look like old Grannies. Wearing trainers with capris and socks? Even worse.

Very informative and lots of great tips! On that note; being in my late seventies I wish footwear manufactures would design more flattering and sensible styles in a sandal for us, other than those that resemble Birkenstocks which quite frankly and not to offend who love them, are quite ugly.

Thank you! My hair grows very fast and it was overdue!! I was worried about the pouf factor living in Florida but definitely like it better after the cut. I will probably trim some more soon.

How inspiring, thank you so much! Now 55, and much more aware about not wanting to look dated. My best finds were the denim Mavi Pixie shorts, not too short or long, or too loose or thight. Also love my Mayari Birkenstock in stone, very comfortable and cute. Also a midi a-line solid black jersey skirt with a tank or tee is easy and comfortable. Many thanks for your helping video on these many issues 🧡

I have to disagree with you Nada, imo teal is a very difficult colour, it's very strong and deeply unflattering, also difficult to pair with a lot of other colours. I much prefer blues to teal

Nada, you look amazing and you dressed Ashley beautifully. I don't like her own choice of clothes, the big pattern, etc. She should stick to more neutral, classier colours and pieces

I would have thought Ashley is borderline obese with fat distributed all over, she's no longer a petite pear. We all struggle with weight around the menopause and because of trigger processed foods. A slim weight is a sign of health, being overweight immediately makes you look unhealthy, you will never look great in clothes, so it's important not to resign ourselves to being overweight or obese, it can lead to really deadly illnesses, it's not just a matter of disguising excess weight with clever clothing, it's about health. I am very sorry Ashley had cancer, but cancer is also more prevalent in overweight people who consume meat and other animal products, as well as processed foods, so eating healthily is super important.

Well, now that none of us have any clothes in our closet because they are all outdated --wr are going to have to get an additional job to buy a new wardrobe!! Most of the styles you don't like are in plus sized catalogues!! The only one you didn't talk about are the ones that look like you're wearing a lace table cloth!! I don't know who designs for these "fat lady" catalogues, but they think if your big you have no taste and you should just cover everything up and look like a blob! It's hard to find bigger clothes that fit and don't look matronly! I can't afford Nieman Marcus or Talbot's.🥴🥴🥴

Great video! I believe I have a couple of those cowl neck tops---metallic gold & leopard print. Are those still considered dated? I feel like the fabrics are modern but now wondering about the style.
@canukmrsben13 сағат бұрын
IMHO if the neckline suits you, wear them. On that note; having a passion for all things in fashion and being a hobby sewer for over fifty years learned that what suits one, doesn't necessarily suit the other plus notice particularly of late manufactures are cutting corners where they can. For example what use be a 'v' neckline originally a hybrid of a 'crew' neck has morped into a 'v' neck and 'boat' neck (being more exposure in the shoulder area) just to save fabric.

Loved this. Absolutely agree with everything. I still struggle a bit with what is and is not a modern print. Could benefit from another one of your videos that gives examples of bad and good prints. Thanks Nada!
@garmtpugКүн бұрын
I think she mentioned that a safe bet for prints are strips ( mainly vertical), polka dots, and subtle very small prints. It is hard to sometimes figure out what's modern and what isn't. How I figure that out is what I see what the majority of older women are wearing while grocery shopping in my area and those are what I DON'T buy! LOL!
