@joseziin29 күн бұрын
@joseziin29 күн бұрын

This Main Theme Song will definitely make you cry 😭😭 if you had finished watching and rewatch it again from the beginning. This OST music is sung when the train station 🚉 cleaner throw the poor Sestsuko Beloved Japanese Candy can away where all the Fireflies came and Setsuko Appeared 😭😭😭 It struck me there so hard 😭 This Cartoon is indeed a Year 1988 unbeaten Piece of Masterpiece and Remind us that War is definitely a Hell..There are no Winners Actually 😢

The director deserves a nobel peace prize for making the best example of how awful war truely is. Because we caused it. It's our fault as humans that innocent people suffer and lose their futures.

Our school conducts a small sort of activity where you have to draw in a page of your classwork, and I drew Setsuko in my English classwork. I still have the book with me.

You can see the outline of a warplane that dropped the atomic bomb. The bright particles are fireflies the children are playing with but also represent the firestorm after the Hiroshima bombing.

There’s an incredibly poignant quote by David Gemmel, which sums up the meaning of this film perfectly. “All wars are started by angry old men, but they are fought by young men who die for reasons that are beyond them. In the end, the same old men sit around tables and the war ends. Nothing is achieved. Nothing is gained. New faces move into old castles, and the sons of the dead build families ready to feed new battleground graveyards.”
