This is not country. This is Blues. Mississippi Blues.

Hey man! Thank´s for your great lessons! Do you know about Cam Kimbrough here on youtube? Juniors grandson have a small guitarchannel where he teaches in this style. He´s a really great guitar player. You two really should do a collab or something. Cams videos has helped me a lot with getting into this style, it gave me the joy for guitar playing back.

Hi! I watch Juniors grandsons channel a lot. Cam Kimborough here on youtube, he teaches this style of guitar too. He actually talks about his fingers in many videos when he teaches riffs and makes the audience weary that it might be difficult to play it like him or don´t sound like when he plays because he has massive calluses on his thumb and index finger from playing this style for all his life. It´s not like when guitarplayers talk about getting calluses on the fingertips on the left hand, not at all. His thumb is all hardened up. I actually think you see that in R.L´s video too, if you look at his thumb. It looks almost deformed and big. Like his thumbnail is thick and his skin is very dry and hard.

My pop is bueno, the slap is definitely not consistently the same dynamic. Improving every day although it’s a bit like a mirage, just ahead but I never arrive. My whole guitar endeavour has been enjoyable and one of the few things I started and haven’t been discouraged with ever. Thanks for keeping me rolling forward in my journey 👍🏻

Aside from the versatility, the great thing about alternate tunings is that they help justify having many guitars - I hate the instability that can come from switching tunings.
