I got tricked into getting my spraying and chemical license I dont regret it at times cause it made me more of an asset to the farm and they try and keep me happy since no one else does it or likes to but here in the states we have different rules for what to do and everything

Will yield be reduced this year due to late planting ?
@finnegansfarm91372 күн бұрын
Shouldn’t be , soil temperatures were only slightly late so we’re hoping everything should go to plan, good question 👍👍

Nice work Cathal, hope ye have a bumper crop and the weather to lift them.
@edwardtapp16995 күн бұрын
Why don't you leave a 3 metre gap where your headland tramline is, to turn on, save driving over rows and lifting compacted soil at harvest.
@finnegansfarm91372 күн бұрын
Because it’s a lot of 3 metres when you go around all the fields… we always done it , alot of other lads leave the gaps and I wouldn’t mind trying it consider I know what it like to be bouncing across them!!

The amount of land u leave without spuds at the gate is the amount we actually grow 😂.
@finnegansfarm91372 күн бұрын
When the harvester comes in… it needs all that space 😂 When the gates not exactly in the corner of the field either it leaves more space 👍

I broke one of the shafts holding on a disc on a John Deere mower back in the 90s . Back then we got the complete unit with bearings .Just pop it in and bolt it down. I remember rushing to meet the guy from Derek Plants at the East link toll bridge to get the parts knowing the harvester was gobbling up the swards with the mower out of action.
