Turn the finger pushers over...upside down from how you wore them and they will be more rigid.

The fishy threader is actually working very well - you are just too used to threading without so you tried 'the vertical approach' only ;-) The hook is sticking above the grip, if you put the thread horizontally between your fingers, lower if on the hook and then move the hand away to the left the hook would grab it no problem For me astigmatism makes threading the machine a real nightmare as it screws my depth perception, now I want the helpful fish!

I tested it the other way as well. It still didn't work well for me. I think the biggest problem is how fiddly it is. It's honestly harder (for me) to get the hook through than a thread. Also, the hook doesn't fit in the eye of the smaller needles. It only worked with my size 18 needle- which is really easy to thread. kzfaq.info3S-MKj2EsxY?feature=share

I would use that little electric sewer. Only for small handmade ornaments; the little iron I would use for crafting - definitely; the threader- my needle doesn’t line up sideways but from front to back so no for this! Thanks for demonstrating these items!

That lipstick case is the cutest! I HATE needing to por needles out of the tube onto my hand, and i always worry about them getting blunt from shaking around in there. I was planning to add a sponge layer in the lid of my tubes but this is so cute!

The needle threader may work better if turned over with the hook downward, then pull thread underneath at a right angle.

I like review videos. Thank you I do historical costuming and the " corset kit" puzzled me at first. My idea of a corset kit is a busk, coutil, boning, and maybe eyelets. I liked the lipstIck pin cushion thing a lot, I already have a needle case, but if I didn't, I'd buy it. I have seen really nice mini irons and I think it might be nice to get into tight spaces. The fake fingernail pusher thing is dumb. I have a needle threader from the 70s that came with a sewing machine and it works great, my new machine has a built-in one. You have the fish upside down.

For the LED strip, you can create a little "lampshade" out of thin fabric and cover the face of the strip to knock down or alter the light. I did that with a LED sewing light, which had the brightness of the sun all concentrated in a blinding circle, and my little lampshade made something I hated into something I actually use.

Why not just lightly wrap the thread around the hook, like maybe just a single wrap? (Needs to be light, not *tight* as obviously thread needs to be able to pull through as you bring it through eye of needle & beyond.) Also, it definitely looks "fiddly", I can see why you would not use it, but it might actually make a huge difference for someone with vision problems.

The needle threader (fish) will work much better if you turn it over. The hook should be facing down, not up. Then you can draw the thread under the hook and be able to keep tension on it with your other hand.
