I'm pretty sure I saw the ball hit Rocky, twice, before he took his shot. Once on his shoe and once on his knee. Uhhh, that's not allowed.

Just a thought. I use double sided tape and a solvent to install my golf grips. The process appears to be the same as shown here. Only negative would be the weight of the tape?

Solid advice Rocky. I would add one more big thing for newbies to avoid and that is just "camping out and staring at front wall when you're on defense". You always want to watch the ball even when it's not your turn to hit the ball so that you're not accidentally body blocking someone's shot or potentially in the way of their swing. By just staring at front wall, you might get hit with the racquet which would hurt even more than getting hit with the ball. Always watch the ball at all times (you can put a racquet in front of your face if you're worried about getting hit in the face) and look through the strings. Also watching your opponent hit the ball will help you anticipate where the ball is going and thus give you an even great chance of retrieving it.

I’ve used rubber cement many times. Maybe it adds an insignificant amount of weight, but it’s certainly not permanent. also it helps it slide on easily.

How about if I end up on the left side close to the front wall & your opponent hits an offensive shot but the ball clips your racquet before it hits the front wall? There was plenty of room for a kill shot on the right side. They said if the ball hit my body then it's replay hinder, but if it hit my racquet, it's a point penalty hinder?
@rbaddict29474 ай бұрын
No. The situation you described sounds more like a replay hinder. If your opponent has an offensive opportunity, the only window you (the defender) have to give is a straight-in shot and a cross court shot (a shot where the ball hits the front wall usually somewhere near middle, and travels to the opposite back corner). You don't have to give the entire front wall, you don't even have to give them a pinch shot. If you (the defender) are not blocking the straight-in shot or cross-court shot, and the ball hits you (or your racquet) this is most likely a replay. As long as you don't intentionally stop the ball with your racquet it's usually a replay. So to recap, if your opponent's shot accidently hits your racquet thats usually just a replay hinder. Just be sure not to stand directly in front of him at all times.
