yo man i saw a video a few months back about all the rtx 4070 compared, and noticed that the msi ventus series was in f tier because of a piece of the gpu was uncooled and the hotspot temp was high bc of this. recently msi released the msi ventus E series that supposedly ''fixed this issue'' but NOBODY is adressing these new cards and if the problem is fixed. right now the ventus E is the cheapest 4070 on the market and i would like to know if the problem has been fixed, could you make a video of this please? or just tell me in you know.

I do not understand how you argue about the XFX: In its performance mode it appears to be the loudest but also the coolest card. If you also compare the oc level or boost of that card it is even quite impressive to keep it that cool. Of course the downside of that choice is its louder fans but that doesnt equal overall a bad cooler design. It is even a straight forward design choice: "We give you max performance if you do not mind the noise." Way better than all these mixed designs where you are basically cutted down on both categories: performance and noise. In the end you even have more choices if you know how to customize it: Without RT and in some light games i set coolers to 60% without any issues which is supersilent and on heavy games with RT i have the choice to also heavily boost up with the cost of noise.

5:44 I have also noticed mentioned tendency myself: higher EDC gives higher temperature but clock speed is lowered, while lower EDC gives lower temperature but clock speed is higher. Assuming that the EDC limits are reached in both cases, it means that the computer draws more current and works slower, yet generates higher temperatures . This doesn't make sense. Unless we assume that at lower clock speeds and higher EDC, the processor is more heavily loaded but operates slower (or wastes power). I think that changing all these PBO settings (EDC, PPT, TDC) is merely an optimization for specific applications, rather than overclocking per se. A more loaded processor operates at a lower clock speed, while a less loaded processor operates at a higher clock speed. Which is better depends on the application.
