Dude! My autistic son tried to sing Jingle Bells at his school for children with special needs Christmas party. He would sing every third or fourth word and bump a tambourine against his leg. We could tell what song he has trying to sing because he remembered the phrase “Jingle Bells”. I got a copyright strike! I’m sure nobody read it, but I wrote an essay that spanned more pages that I’d like to admit outlining the entire life span of that song. I went into a detail about copyrighted vs public domain. I know they didn’t read it. KZfaq is Google after all. The all knowing unquestionable authority on everything. I produce EDM songs using MIDI arrangements with sound design through plugins like Vital. And… I buy packs Cymatics, Ghosthack, and others. Licenses packaged up with the files. At this point, I can release 3 full length albums. Fully mastered. But I won’t. I don’t want Google or any other monolithic overload dictating where and when people get to experience my passion. Good luck with the copyright crap. Maybe they’ll get it right someday.
