I think this would fall into the brutalist category of architecture. Very cold, stark, bunker or institutional jailhouse atmosphere. Not many windows, and I find this style of architecture to be most redeeming when large windows display the beauty of nature and natural light a greater contribution to well being and softening the oppressive coldness of concrete slab. This house unfortunately embodies none of those redeeming feature’s. Neighborhood looks quite industrial, unkept and ugly. So perhaps it’s best not to have large windows. Best view actually comes from the reflection of the sky on the outdoor tile.

It’s perfect for the right person, but I imagine many wouldn’t want to live there, myself included. For me it would be too remote and too austere. It’s brilliantly done, but I like a home to be homely, perhaps because I’m in a colder climate. think it’s a house for a particular type of person; a house somebody like an architect would love to live in. Desert living just wouldn’t be for me. Great job, though.
