I've been playing this video several times trying to learn the song, and call me OCD, but I can't help but nitpick at your pronunciation of the title. It's pronounced "ROCK-ARE-EE-UH", not "area". Other than that I enjoy your channel and use it to learn to play my bass (Fender Squire short stock).

Loving these videos! Just found out about you like an hour ago and been skimming through all of your stuff, and i gotta say I'm impressed. I surprisingly found out about you through your playthrough of King Gizzard's "Exploding Suns" and I wanted to ask, if it's available, if you are thinking of playing through a song from their album "Infest the Rat's Nest"? There's a lot of sick solos and awesome chords that I think you would enjoy.

Pitch Shifter Ever wanted to play a song on Guitar or Bass that was in a low tuning but did not want to retune your whole instrument to play that one song? This feature is to help alleviate that! When enabled, you can set what tuning you want your guitar or bass to stay in, and we will try to adjust the tuning of songs to accommodate for that. We will pitch your instrument's audio up or down, so it sounds like it is in the proper tuning. This feature works on Guitar and Bass when using a cabled connection. Here are some examples: E Standard -> B Standard - With the pitch shifter enabled, you will not need to retune your instrument going from E standard to B Standard (or vise-versa). Drop D -> Drop A - The pitch shifter also works in this case, and you will not need to retune your instrument. E Standard -> Drop C - The pitch shifter will ask you to retune to Drop D, so you only need to retune one string, instead of all of them.

Hey Mr. Sims. Good job! Love the beard, love the effort. "Misery" is probably my favorite from Soul Asylum. I know "Runaway Train" is the big one, and it's good, but I just love the grunge sound from "Misery". This is going to be kinda outta nowhere, but could we talk a little? Is there any way I can contact you? Discord? Skype? I don't know what's popular these days.

@@russsims6528 Ah, that's true! Thank you, then. I was in a weird headspace yesterday, so I wasn't really thinking. My apologies. Now, I love playing guitar and bass, but juggling my hobby and passion with work is not going well. I went to a luthier and got everything fixed up, hoping it would help. My motivation always seems to be low whenever I finally do have time to play, but when I don't, that's when I want to just play EVERYTHING, but then the most I end up playing is just a couple of days. The callouses are gone, and I never end up being able to build it up before they go soft again. It was easier back when I was a kid and had more time on my hand, and I'm not sure what to do. I'm an adult now, late 30s, got a family and I'm working two jobs. I still have that passion in me, maybe, but it's starting to waver a lot, to the point that I'm afraid that the flame is about to die out completely. Then as I was listening to some music, I came across this video, and I saw you, and I thought, that you looked like someone who enjoys life. I feel bad as a stranger, unloading everything onto another stranger, but I also appreciate your willingness to hear me out, so thank you. Basically, I just want to hear how you do it. How do you balance your life with your hobbies?

@@russsims6528 You're absolutely right. Once again, thank you for hearing me out, and actually cheering me on. You'd be within all the rights to tear me down, me coming here whining and all. Things don't come to you, you gotta make your own time. You're absolutely right. And I totally get that forcing yourself to play, just makes you grow a disdain for it. Gotta make time for it and do it right. Rocksmith is actually wonderful in that regard. I don't bother the wife and kids of I'm playing with headphones, instead of just using the speakers, or using my actual (dust-gathering) amp setup, heh. I think I'm just scared of turning a hobby into a chore. Grew up in a single household, I was blessed with a handheld console and a single video game, which was enough for me, and then I had a guitar. A cheap, fake one, but I loved it nonetheless. Busting my butt off with part-time jobs galore, I was able to buy an electric guitar and amp out of my own pocket, with my own money. Since then, I'd play, play, play and only stop when I was exhausted beyond belief. Why not stop earlier? BECAUSE IT WAS FUN. Like you said, playing should be fun, a joy! But then my playtime got smaller and smaller, as I grew older and older. I grew worried that I might just have to stop, even though rock was my entire life. But again. I saw you. Frequent uploads, eyes with that glow in them, that passion and joy I remember feeling was reignited seeing YOU. Therefore, I shall find some proper time to play, and let all the passion and music flow through my veins down to my fingers! Keep on rocking, too, Sims. And thanks for encouraging me!
