thats not enough motor. for engine longevity you would really want the predator 670cc, but on a budget the 459cc will work. you will be running the 420CC at max power all the time to achieve the pressures you want, therefore reducing engine life.

@@staym925 even so, still close to the limit. (Gpm x psi) x 0.0007 will give the minimum hp required to run at max pressure. I like to have a little more power than that for engine longevity.

Put a gocart tune kit on it and you'll be golden. 600 hours is pleeeenty of time to earn a new motor or 5.

Will this pump with a gearbox pull from a buffer tank or does it need water from a hose bib that is pressurized?

It pulls great from my 50gal tank. I think all gear or belt driven pumps suck water, but direct drives don't. I may be wrong on that.

You should test your pressure washer’s psi again while hooked up to a live hose straight at the spigot. With a direct drive pump you may still need the push of the water spigot’s pressure for the machine to get adequate water. You have flow restrictions going through that water filter an the screen in the pressure washer intake .

Hey man check the side marking on the tip. If it says 4025 it is for a 4 gpm with a 25degree tip. Are you still using the Predator motor and gear drive budget build?

I run a predator 420 motor, carb plate for vacuum pulse pump, gear box and 5.5gpm pump. About twice a year when the weather changes I have to check the valve lash but it just purs and with the fuel pump I don’t have to stop and fill any tanks except when the truck needs fuel

Nice build! I am about to build one with the same pump but was told that the predator 420 will not get me only 1500-1800 psi, anything after that will bog the motor. How are you getting 3300psi. Is it operating fine? Thank you

It's a plug thing for the big hole I had to cut in order to install the Hudson valve.

That's how you do it. I have a good buddy I partner with on my large parking deck projects. I meet him on one of the FB group pages. He lives right down the street. We show up with 3 soon to be 4 engines roaring!! I will keep you in mind on future projects as I have some monsters in the work.

Great Video. How is the Remote Valve holding up to Bleach? I assume you can't really rinse it out ?

It does ok.. they last 3 - 9 months. I've had I think 4 so far. I rinse it after every use by just sucking water the last time I use it that day. But it has plastic gears turning metal so it doesn't take much to mess it up. But for $30, beats walking back and forth.

@@cunninghamcleanI watched All Pro version of this build and he upgraded to Banjo version of the valve. $135 but he said they last way longer. Its all polypropylene and knowing banjo quailty im sure its worth it. We'll find out this spring.

Yes the m5 pulls just fine. Haven't really changed much. Still using the same remote system with m5.
