Thank goodness for the wave and the turtles. Otherwise zero attn. on the proposition. Side note, if you care about the turtles do not drive on the beach particularly in a vehicle meant for the road. Quads and side by sides have a much smaller pressure impact.

Lunada Bây is a dangerous wave to surf. I think the locals want to keep the outsiders out because they don’t know the break. They will cause turmoil in the lineup and get in the way, I was shagging boards of the rocks for older friends when I was in 5 th. Grade there. I know a few things about all the bay, not just the point. These lawsuits are disturbing to the regular guys who surf there now.

I used to see John all the time at third point Malibu. During those years I had no idea who he was . He was always so genuine and friendly to me. We talked surf and how beautiful the day was. He has a lot of depth and I am so glad he has found his way in life. Peace to you John! Monty

I grew in Hawaii and body surfed big waves most of my life. What non body surfers don’t know is when you drop into the trough of a wave you can usually punch through and come up behind the wave. Of course sometimes you get pounded it’s part of the sport.

I wish I was a good fighter and a good surfer…I would go to pipe and respectfully steal waves and then when locals try and fight me for it I will be able to take them on. Unfortunately I can’t fight and I can’t surf good enough to surf pipe

Call my nose back in the day. Went down there with my jujitsu teacher because his brother and his friend Gil got hassled by the leaders of this gang at Llanada. The way he handled it was amazing he just took me out surfing I was a Bluebell some kid from California. He just went down there to see what the story was. He found it amusing that his brother and his friend had a hard time. We were going to go home. They told him to get out of the water but they were talking shit to him, but from far away, he finally had enough put his board down and walked over to them Stuck his head in the middle of the three of them like a lion and just looked at them. Then took one of the boards and broke it over his knee and threw it in his face. Then stuck his head, and again it looked at all of them. They didn’t do shit. He just did his hands off and walked away puked a whole lot of them.
273973 sharks are killed by humas each day... WHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?????????????

The localism in Hawaii is toxic. I traveled there once and I won’t be back. I went to a beach and didn’t even paddle out in the lineup, literally just went for a dip in the water and got my tires slashed for being a foreigner at a locals spot. The “aloha spirit” is a joke.

I mean, I get what you’re trying to do and I think it’s quite noble and all…. But sharks are still terrifying. I’m not going to go kill them for soup or any dumb shit like that, but I’m also not going to swim with them/in their environment because they’re “misunderstood.” I understand quite well… idk what their next move is, and half the time, I can’t even see them coming. One bite can be fatal. Why the hell would I want to get in the water with them? I’ll stick to leaving them alone altogether. They’ve survived for millions of years without me, and they’ll survive plenty longer without me swimming with them too.

Utterly ridiculous exaggeration of shark deaths at human hands. Bigging up their role, scaring people about human activity and impact on the environment. As the warmest do with the climate scam. Repulsive.
