ngl weirdcore/dream core peaked in 2021, I remember finding it late 2020 & the community was getting popular but not that much & I'd just browse KZfaq every night watching these Playlists & those videos with a compilation of images & songs like these, I really miss that. idk if I sound like a jackass but I hate the tiktoks & those videos of those people who are obsessed with that damn scp thing, those mushrooms & the obsession with eyes they really took away something that made me feel at home & somewhat at ease & I'm not someone to gate keep, I remember trying to tell all my friends about this shit because I thought it was amazing something they could relate to but now it's just embarrassing to look at & what it's become. I remember trying to complain about it but I was just told "oh you're just scared of new things", like no I'm upset because they took something I loved & crushed it like nothing. I really wish if for one thing I could go back in time to two years ago when I first found this stuff & it felt sincere, just smoke a shit ton of weed & get drunk af listening & watching all the weirdcore videos I wanted, nothing hit like this stuff back then I honestly really miss it so damn much nothing connected to me so damn much but now I can't even try to look for these videos i watched back then without having to dig through heeps of trash, took me a while of scrolling to find this one ffs

I had this playlist downloaded on and old MP3 player. I lost it on a trip and I for so long wished I could find the playlist that I used to listen to every night. I cant explain how happy I am to find this. It feels as if myself from quarantine is finally getting reconnected to my current self.

They had another playlist before this too, can you maybe reupload that one? It's thumbnail was a grassy field, had the text 'It's just a dream' or smth like that and there was a lone tree and a bubble the title was "I can feel your eyes" video isn't available anymore on YT , and clicking it on my playlist unfortunately alarms me that it's not available

A moment of silence for the playlist that got me into weirdcore in the first place and literally helped me lean into and find comfort in my weirdness. I'm kinda drunk but honestly like I have to thank the weirdcore community for helping me get more comfortable with myself. I used to have super bad self image which i still do tbh but I remember once a friend of mine told me I have a nostalgic face (the best way I can describe it to you Is Aubrey plaza but a little off without showing you), and that stuck with me. I feel like weirdcore has made me realize I don't have to change myself to be comfortable with myself or interesting or even aesthetically pleasing. Weirdcore is unconventional but so many people love it and it's comforting to me because I just identify really really hard with it if it makes any sense. Again I'm close to blackout drunk plus a little crossfaded but if you read my whole life story here thank I love you. - Mal

This is such a good playlist, bringing that nostalgia from the warm-colored antique films and that upbeat notion to most of the songs listed (from POGO to The Scary Jokes, I feel like this was a meant-to-be playlist, as it hits all the nice feelings of what my dreams are usually like, as well as how much I feel through the nostalgia of that "orange filter" concept). It brings me this sense of sadness amongst a bright scenario, that feeling of solitude while laying in the sweet reminiscing of the past - I enjoy the mix of these feelings. Wish there was a way to find more playlists like this one.
