I appreciate this comment. As a first-year cellular and molecular medicine student, I've been focused on passing exams and memorizing material. Today, I was struck by the realization that the conditions we study are real and affect real people, which has evoked strong emotions in me. Initially interested in lab work for my career, encounters like this make me lean towards becoming a clinical scientist in the ICU, working with patients and families. Your inspiring words mean a lot to me, and I hope your recovery is going well.

@@primeirrational I'm studying a masters degree in cellular and molecular medicine. In the case of a patient having a blood clot removed, as a cellular and molecular scientist I would be sent the sample and once in my lab, i'd identify specific proteins or genes that are involved in the clotting process to understand the underlying mechanisms of clotting disorders. I work in medical research, but i'd like to move to hospital settings so I can study a broader range of samples and significantly more of them than I do now.

The surgeon misspoke. The seed is not radioactive. That's the benefit. The device uses radar.

I had two hip replacement surgeries done this year, after waiting for three years. Dr. Grammatopoulos performed the second hip surgery, and it was FANTASTIC! I had none of the issues that I had with the first surgery. I could not be happier. 🥰

If June Jones only new the truth she'd have spent her millions elsewhere. The Doctors involved in her "care" are not looking to find the cause of IgA Nephropathy. Why cure a patient when you can make much more treatinng the progression and end result of IgA nephropathy? There are Nephrologists out there that have made discoveries and successfuly driven IgA nephropathy into remission. Allowing his patients to live medication free and without complication. He's taken his findings, presented the top IgA nepropathy doctors them, as well as the university proressors. Certainly they would be interested in examining this further in a research setting? No they are not, they only care about immunosupression, which obiviously is not working, apart from for the Doctors and hopsitals who benefit fiancially.

This looks spectacular and I love bringing the outdoors inside. Breathing life into a building that often feels devoid of it. Question... there was an emphasis on efficiency and speed in the design as it pertains to getting people in need of care to the support they need. With that in mind, why have the helipad on the roof? Is the ER, the most likely of resources required for patients airlifted to the hospital, near the roof? Or what would the reason be for placing it on the roof? I'm curious. Hopefully someone with informed insight can provide their thoughts. Otherwise, love this design and thank you for the video and sneak peek.

My 4 month old baby has hypotonia and feeding difficulties. His pediatrician doesn’t refer him to a specialist. We are desperate and don’t know what to do and where to go. OT and PT can’t help us with the diagnoses. Other pediatricians don’t accept new patients. Should we go to ER? Which specialist should we see first?

I really want to know on average how many days a month a trauma surgeon works (7 on 7 off or 4 on 4 off), as well as how many hours a shift do they work (8hrs, 12hrs, 24hrs/ on call). If anyone can answer this, that would be awesome
