I have one point that no one ever seems to make about How I Met Your Mother... the slap bet is the most toxic, abusive, and UNFUNNY long standing bit I've ever seen on a show especially the episode where they tie Barney down. I forgot what supposedly obnoxious Barney did to Marshall but I certainly never forgot the supposedly adorkable Marshall assaulting his friend for years.

When you play it at 0.25 speed, it’s funny how obvious the distance between the hand and the face is. But it’s not about the physical impact, it’s about the timing, all of which were 😘👌

I wonder how this shows reruns viewership looks like compared to other shows like Friends, The Office, The Big Bang Theory, All the Chicago first responder shows. are. I know i haven't watched or even seen it available since the writers decided for the mom to be dead the entire time and have Ted and Robin hook up again probably makes it pointless to rewatch.

When Marshall slapped Barney and it turned out to be a lie, Barney got three slaps. When Barney slapped Marshall and it turned out he was wrong, Marshall got 5 or 10 slaps. So Lilly was fantastically biased in favor of Marshall.

Nobody ever noticed the premature slap bet was weighted toward Marshal. Barney only got 3. Marshal got 5.

Tell you the truth this was the best part of the show is when Barney got the bitch slapped from hell and Barney was so paranoid each time because he didn't know when that bitch slap from hell was coming 😂
