Thanks for showing how the techometer works. Be careful about flooring the engine cold though. Not good for it.

Thanks! As a very long time mechanic, I sort of understand that… :-) The engine had a little bit of heat in it didn't show that much on the gauge but it had been run.

I test drove the escape hybrid last spring and if you like that game you can stay in electric mode a lot in city driving and get stupid gas mileage, can't wait for my hybrid maverick to come....

Paul - is there a view which shows the charge level in the battery, similar to the Ford Fusion Hybrids? It looks like a reduced size AAA battery.

No, it really doesn't show any kind of a state of charge of the battery. As far as I'm aware, the traction battery is a fairly standard assemblage of A123 cells, which are sort of like oversize penlight batteries.

Thank you for a great demo!!! All of the "review" channels only show full power acceleration and never normal driving. Your video gives me a better sense of what day to day driving would be like. Thank you!

Thank you! Finally!!! The biggest feature on the hybrid and no one has spoken about it in detail let alone showed a detailed video of it in action. I was getting tired of hearing about rear under seat storage..
