I was a bit bored the first time I listened to this song (actually bored by the first 3 songs of the album). But one thing I've learned is that TSwift songs generally grow on me. Sometimes they grow so dramatically that a boring song becomes one of my faves. After 3 listens, the album has become not only my fave TS album, but my fave album of all time by any artist. (And I'm a 66yo guy, so "all time" for me contains a bunch of decades of great music. BTW, before TSwift, my fave was Metallica.) I don't know if you know any other TSwift songs, but in case you don't know this, her music ranges over several genres and styles. I will paste a few samples that you might like better. (They are more upbeat/dynamic etc.) You don't need to spend a bunch of time doing full reaction vids for these. I'm suggesting that you sample a minute or two of some of them to get a quick sense of whether or not these other albums might be more to your liking. It’s subtle, but turns into an ear worm before you know it. Listen to Epic Orchestra’s instrumental version. Taylor writes for herself first and foremost. Her fans love dissecting her poetry.

Dear Aldo, do us all a favor and stop trying to understand Fortnight by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone, who you thought was Travis Kelce. Not only is this song epic but you don’t even know what fortnight is. Look it up first thing. Next understand, by reading who Clara Bow is, the 1920s It Girl, which is who Taylor is right now. Clara’s love left and she was institutionalized and given shock treatment. Taylor references her song Clara Bow. Taylor is getting over a relationship with Joe. Look at the pill bottle. The pill bottle says, Forget Him. It also has her birthday date at the bottom. Also says, it’s a move on drug but the effects were temporary. She can’t get over her love because now he is married and lives next door and happens to see his wife as they try to be good neighbors. Everything in the video references other songs. The face silhouette is from her song Style, about a past love, Harry Styles, Also the book, Us is a reference to her song, The Story of Us. The scene of her getting shock treatment has a black dog references her song Black Dog. The two doctors in the scene, one is Ethan Hawk and the other Jason C. who starred in the iconic movie, Dead Poet Society. At the end the song goes, thought I’d call you up but you won’t pick up, another fortnight lost in America references the two weeks lost. Next in the song goes, move to Florida, buy the care you want, but it won’t start up until we touch, touch, touch. Florida references her new song Florida. This song is great, it’s deep and is about moving on after a relationship. If you haven’t followed her work this song is wayyyy over your head. Start listening to her simpler songs first might help. Catch out her song and video I Can Do It With A Broken Heart. It has the lyrics on the video and is easy to understand even for those with the smallest of minds like yourself. To attempt a critique without any knowledge of the meaning or references in this song is a failure on your part. This song is great!

As a big time Swiftie I apologize for you getting this kind of comment from one of us. No one should have to do that amount of research to listen to, understand or even like a song by any artist. Yes, Taylor’s music has lots of layers and there’s a lot of lore but you don’t need to know it. The song can be interpreted in the way it makes sense to you. I disagree strongly that it’s terrible. It’s so well produced if you listen to all the musical subtleties. But it’s a mellow vibe and it’s not for everyone.

She writes all her music with her brother ,who is her sole producer and they write and record everything at home. Her debut album when we all fall asleep where do we go?
