Without reading all the questions, i have two. I used a 50 amp fuse going to the fuse box. Is the two big or if there is a problem will it undoubtedly trip the 50 as well as a 20 or 30? Also, my ground goes to the engine block! You did not address this. I am an electrical dummy sooo there's that. So question is do i go negatve from house to crank to engine end then stack a negative ring on the engine to a negative buss bar? I have a 350cc inboard. Thanks in advance!

Question about when transferring rodi into the saltwater container. How do you know how much salt you should be adding? Do you have marks on the containers and wait until you get to say 10 gallons and then add 10 gallons worth of salt into the top?

Hello, why is it recommended to not run both batteries when using the engine? How can I charge my deep cycle if im not using the altenator (if I don't have access to shorepower)

we have our minn kota on vertical jammed or stuck on the holder, we tried to pull the lever so that we can push the motor out but no avail we can't move it - any advice or suggestion how to push the motor out in between the holder - please let us know - thanks and appreciate it

Thank you, this was so simply explained and well presented. Had 2 questions if anyone can answer. You mentioned to power off the boat and electronics before switching to battery 1 or 2, what about if you are switching it to the combined setting having power from battery 1 and 2, would you still have to power down the boat? And also, when I have 2 batteries on the boat how do you generally charge each battery especially the house bagtery which would be used more for when the boat is off out in the water? Sorry may be dumb questions but trying to figure all this out.

Love this video! 1/2 way through my annual maintenance on a Mercury 115 CT. Writing shirtless though, as my gear oil plugged popped out and sprayed me with used gear oil. Likely an anomaly or user error somehow. Definitely didn't notice the gear lube "not rushing out of there." No I didn't loosen the vent or overflow first. Sharing so others don't potentially get the same surprise. Not a criticism of the video. Covering all potential scenarios would create a two-hour long video. Love the video and watched about eight times to date. Thank you Real Life Fisherman for the pro guidance. I appreciate you.

So this won't mess with the two bank charger that's connected to the batteries when the engine is off and it's plugged in at the dock right!?

Thanks for the vids. I have a 24v trolling motor setup. Can I run these chargers up to each of my trolling motor batteries from the start motor. I was looking at MinnKota's alternator, but my Honda 40h alternator is less than Minn Kota's recommended alternator output, so I was looking at this for an alternative...Or do you thing the Monn Kota alternator would work

if you do this, wouldnt you be unable to run your motor and run electronics at the same time? i.e trolling with downriggers and fish finder?

if you have 2 downriggers drawing 20amps, will you need a 40 amp circuit breaker or 2 20 amp circuit breakers? What about your fish finder? Is it bad to get an overly large amperage circuit breaker?
