I'm on my 3rd Giro Fixture helmet now, its saved my head & life twice. The worst crash I had was when I was thrown over my bars and my head was slammed, at speed into a deer cattle grip. The right side of my temple was smashed against the steel bars of the cattle grid, If I had not been wearing my helmet I would have been dead, of that I'm certain, the helmet cracked and did its job. Considering the cost its a no-brainer (excuse the pun) PLUS I have a huge head & Giro do this model in XL, so its one of the few helmets that fits my oversized skull. I can wear a beanie under neith and have room for my sunglasses. I prefer a helmet that protects all of your head, including the back and the temple regions. Road helmets do not offer enough protection. Plus this helmet is a MIPS.

Lekker fun!!! I see a load of problems for the non technical people. I hope I am wrong, but I forecast terrible peak traffic. Hope this is taken into consideration for the cut-off times. If technically capable teams get stuck behind non technical riders, it might cost them the finishers' medal.

I love new balance they are very comfortable shoes . However I do find that for me they are only good for medium run ( maybe one hour ) because beyond that the ground starts hitting my feet . That said I've covered 650 miles in both my 1080v11s( 650 on each pair ) before retiring them and currently using 1080 v 10 & 12s , I use them for an hour ISH tops but really do love them , the uppers are fantastic and the midsoles are very cushioned as I say for the first hour . 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Its a great bike and really good value (i know that we sound crazy saying that) at the R125K price point! A lot of bike for that money and one that will last you a good number of years.

I have a GT Sensor Carbon Elite 2021/2022 bike with a 185 x 50 mm Trunnion rear shock. Is it possible to use Marzocchi Bomber Air shock 185 x 52.5 mm Trunnion? It's more than 2.5 mm in Stroke height, is it critical or not?

I ride the Stumpjumper Carbon Comp model in Switzerland with some upgrades. Amazing Bike and you can get this for 3000 Euros 🙃 I also replaced the tyres with a fast trak T5 back and a ground control T7 front since the T9 Butcher is amazing but super slow rolling. Cheers

Awesome and really helpful review as always! I’m considering buying the Oiz myslef, but really not sure about the sizing - I’m 180cm and usually ride size L, though I sometimes feel too stretched out on the bike. Would you say that going for the L size + opting for the shorter 60mm stem might do the trick? Thanks and keep up the good work! 👏
@johnlesoudeur3653
@johnlesoudeur3653 10 ай бұрын
I am in the same position at 179cm but have not bought the bike yet. So many brands have the transition from M to L at around 180cm that makes it very difficult to choose what size to buy without a trial and even then it is easy to get wrong. It would be so beneficial if they brought out models with an intermediate M/L size. Changing stems is also more difficult with the one piece stem/bar...and expensive.
