My family lived right behind the firestaion, 1973- 1977. My brother and I use to walk to school cutting through the wooded area next to the field. I remember the smell of lunch being cooked, fresh baked rolls. The halls were always decorated for Christmas and children's art. You could hear singing from music classes. It very shameful that the town has let this amazing building, that was once full of youthful dreams and great teachers, fall and consider demolishing it.

Beautiful music and photography of Winslow School. I hope the funds are found to renovate the building. It's a shame the town didn't maintain its upkeep. Fond memories of a loss time that I'll never experience again.

I teared up.....more than once. The town should have preserved this. So many uses for this historic building. Shameful.

So very sad to see this. The town of Tyngsboro should have looked at this as a historical landmark and kept it maintained. I'm sure this place could have been used for something good. I remember every inch of this place when attending school there as did my father and grandfather and so many other families. I hope one day it is brought back to life.

why are we calling this the 'Tyngsborough' Solar Field? We sold this land for pennies on the dollar, never collected the full back taxes and we sold the land to an energy company. This is NOT the town of Tyngsborough's solar field. It is a private enterprise. Lets not lie to the public about this.
