I think more specifically my question was... Is vinyl wrap an alternative to painting and already flaking and crusty terrible looking paint job on a car?

I like to use a little of everything. Every brand has it's pros and cons. Just stay away from alibaba style wraps and no-name brands.

The workmanship is brilliant, the carbon looks very good, but why would anyone put a carbon bonnet on a Jag F-Pace? I feel like I’m watching LS customs IRL

Please don't subscribe to the "free month" on the CK Wraps web page. Cant cancel the subscription until the 75th day. I got charge two times per month until I can cancel it. Then after I cancel they still charge me, but now only one time. Contact Email doesn't even work and no Telephone number to call. probably the worst free trial ever made with all the intentions to f#Ck you.

can a gas cap itself be wrapped? I have a 21'MT-07, and I want to try color match my rims. I tried looking on here, but it's wrapping gas tanks, not caps/cap assemblies? great job Christian, this will help me tremendously.

So is a heat gun only needed to help form the film in certain corners/angles? Doesnt have anything to do with adhesion?

PSA for anyone looking to use this film... So I just finished my hood in the Midnight Black. I love how easy it was to wrap. The only issue I have is that you can see where I pushed out bubbles with a wrap glove. I pushed the bubbles like you would with any other film (nothing crazy) but that left indentions in the film that can be seen in the sun. The website says "It is suggested to apply the film while holding excess material off the surface. This will prevent trapped air and distortions in the in film. In the event of bubbles, press the bubble softly or puncture to let air out." That's definitely the case with the Midnight Black...emphasis on softly because even typical bubble pushing pressure seemed to leave distortion. I'm doing my trunk next so I may provide an update. Above all else, thank you CK for all the years of content you've taught me a ton on wrapping cars.

Love your vids man but one thing you said kinda irked me. "Customer said they wanted matte black but I think this looks better." It doesnt matter what you like. Maybe he wanted matte black for a reason. Unless you spoke with him first about changing the color, Im surprised he paid for it. You never change up a color without corrosponding with the customer first. Quickest way to lose business is by word of mouth of someone saying that you do stuff the way you want it and now how the customer wants it. Good job though, none the less.
