I've got a 2005 GMC Yukon 5.3L 4x4 with 234,000 miles, all stock. It makes a clicking noise similar to this, that I can usually only hear with windows down and driving next to something like a wall or tall curb. It only does it when applying gas though, and in a forward gear. I have examined the u-joints and driveshafts and they look fine and tight. It does look original. Do you think this is the issue?

Great video! What was not covered is noise on deceleration and what causes? When giving throttle no noise and only makes noise when letting off throttle and coasting 🤔
@stEVEN_SMARTER3 күн бұрын
My issue is a noise that only happens in gears 1 - 4 and goes away in gear 5 & 6. This video doesn't explain that scenario.

Will this cause coolant to mix with oil from overheating
@TheAbJGarage4 күн бұрын
It will cause overheating, and the overheating could lead to gasket failure, and that will cause coolant and oil mix.

Greetings: Solenoid always at starter. Not "another location".
@TheAbJGarage12 күн бұрын
There are starter motors using the solenoid only for electrical switching, in that case the solenoid can be placed separately. If the solenoid is to do mechanical task of engaging the pinion, then it should be placed on the starter. There are starter motors using inertia to engage the pinion to the ring gear and those drive type starters can have their solenoid mounted separately!
@BatGS11 күн бұрын
@@TheAbJGarage Greetings: Basically true. In such "remote" case the "solenoid" is not a solenoid. It is a relay as defined. It is the term "solenoid x of which I focused my comment.

Best to have a momentary on foot switch or have someone hold the wire to the battery, so you can turn the screw left or right for loudest sound. It would be faster job.

Hector again. The code turn on as the car run perfect, good gas consume, and not have any issue. I look inside the catalic with and it is clean. I buy another catalic but I'm not in Puerto Rico to instale. My preocupation is than the problem is the computer and not the catalic. I go to a technic and only said than change the part because is old one and the internal metal loss his inside properties. He can't scan the car. Other friend, after this, scan the car al said than the O2 sensor are work fine. I hope than when change the catalic the problem go out. Thanks friend.🙏🙏

Why can’t they make one solid piece instead of pieces
@TheAbJGarage18 күн бұрын
one solid piece that split power, change direction of power flow, multiply torque, and allow left and right wheel to be driven at different speed? It seems human knowledge is yet to develop to create a solid piece differential that will allow left and relight wheels to be driven at different speed!

You are most welcome! And also make sure to loosen the glow plugs with care... they tend to snap when loosening ... if it resists too much... don't force it!

Where can i buy a kit to repair my turbocharger..in Kenya

Am not exactly sure dear! In some areas, finding turbo repair kit is challenging as spare part shops prefer to have the entire turbo.. instead of the kit!

Hello friend. Hector from Puerto Rico. The computer can store a problem code in the software that can't erase?, I have a camry 2004 3 3 made in América with 115,000 milles and have the code P0430. I do a tune up, the car run perfect with well gas consume. Some technic said is tha catalic converter other said is the computer , I not sure what do because the car run perfect. What do you think about this situation. Thanks for your information .🙏🙏
@albertvenlee21 күн бұрын
catalyst converter sometimes does not give any issue. As its a old vehicle its catalytic converter is chocked and need replacement. It can be confirmed with scanner, and check the o2 sensor value for upstream and downstream.
@TheAbJGarage18 күн бұрын
This error code is sent when your downstream oxygen sensor notices an irregularity in your catalytic converter's performance. it means that the system is operating below the efficiency threshold. Unless the issue with the catalytic converter is fixed, the error code will appear even if you try to clear it.

Hello. What would your impression be if, say, you do a hill start (1st gear) and as soon as you give gas at the biting point, you get a humming noise? The said noise does not happen on flat road surfaces. Hoping you could provide some insights. Thanks!

Saludos.
