I think Punky needs to be more expressive. He is so shy and you have to work hard to draw him out! /s

I look back to those days and man how special the scene was, growing up with so many great dudes in and around Boston. I think Toshi sent me and my buddy Nick down to help you guys, its all a little foggy but you had your name backwards on the club sign, club 3 slumerville. and the club was empty and I was helping your guitar tech the blonde girl. You played more than words to the basicly empty club and then Pat got hungry and Me and Gary, Pat, Paul and Nick had lunch. As we left you were working on your stack up in some little cubby right of the stage. It was great to get some singer talk between me and Gary, I really didn't have many people I could relate too back then being a singer locally in our age group. Nick ended up doing some Lamma work ;) We ended up playing the beach and Manchvegas a lot and had some CBS intrest after we got representation. Man the music world has changed!

Growing up in the 80s, Tesla immediately grew on me. They played such great rock and roll music that just jammed. No gimmicks, no fake attitudes, very true to the music and to themselves. Loved the 5-man acoustical jam (unplugged) album… still cracks me up to hear Keith say “it’s #%&@ing hot in here… turn on the air conditioner or these people are going to kill you!” Unlike so many of the other bands of that era, Tesla doesn’t get old to me. Still sounds good today and still makes me feel so good while listening to them. Thanks guys!

Rickey only gave lip service to the great Blackfoot, name checking just one of their six albums "Strikes". Blackfoot was a terrific southern hard rock band. WTF?

Right on Tom, you sound like me with the Beatles and the Monkee's, lol., but didn't stay there long. I didn't realize you were singing alot of these songs and that's a whole other thing to be able to do with guitar. I'm going to go back a delve deeper into your work. Thanks Tom, Peace 🕊️

First time I've heard the chimney brush story. So Ozzy was fucked up from coal dust, all the (actual) heavy metals. It wasn't _just_ the drugs. Hilarious that Iommi almost got passed over and Geezer switched.

I meet Toy in Las Vegas in I think 1990 . We talked. He showed me the songs he wrote. It was the day before Thanksgiving. He was in Vagas. He had a sm tralior on nellas boulevard. He had a early in side his fenced yard, and a black vet, parked on the out side of his fence. He was driveing a small new white car. It broke my heart when I heard he had passed. He talked about his love for his family. He seemed to be a man that was always there for his family, when ever they needed him. I miss him and was honored, he trusted me and felt comfortable enough to talk to me. It could of been in 1991 a day before Thanksgiving. That's one time I'll always remember

Grew up In JVille when wape was on the am band. The Greaseman was the best DJ/radio personality , he played all kinds of music!! Heard Blackfoot first on the am then Jax got a killer rock station 104.5. Too bad all these stations have gone away.

I heard back in the early 2000's Punky owned some tanning salons in Northern Virginia. Can't tell if that is makeup or microwaved skin on his chest. Looks painful.

Damn right, they do. "Tesla ', is the ultimate, and most humble blue collar, down to earth band that you will ever see in a show live or on the TV, or what have you, after 35 years or a little bit over that, they are still out there giving it all to us devoted, Tesla fans, young and old, Rockin' all of their hits, and Rockin ' our Asses off still. This," TSLAGRL ' , from Northern Oklahoma, is very agreeable that," Tesla ", without a doubt should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They should have already been in inducted.

I've had Strikes on 8track, vinyl, cassette, and cd. Now, on digital. I know every note of every song. And is still one of my favorites. Edit note, I saw blackfoot in Aug 1981 at the 4th golden summernight in darmstadt(?). I've seen skynyrd 3 times with Rickey and he crushed it each and every time. Thanks for all of it, RM. Long live rock n roll!!
