yeah, you need certain cards and for it to be meaningful you need to establish the loop on the highest difficulty. it should still be doable on mobile unless there is a major gameplay change

pro-tip aim for maps without a lot of corners and more long sections, and just place the tiles you need and you'll get it. it is dependent a bit on RNG in that bad card draws can give you a hard time but just keep trying, you got this

on the 4th difficulty you have no limit on what you can take back

how is the mobile version? normally I don't really get games for my phone but loop hero seems like a good game for the train

Full disclosure this was just a test run to make sure I had all the stuff in my head. But when my shoulder heals I will learn the current routes :D

it has a bug the devs refuse to fix that's been in the game for like 5 months lol where they can become permanently invincible. the devs haven't really been fixing bugs they've been watering down the difficulty. I wish there was a workaround, maybe it's worth making a little CE table to handle these kinds of issues since the devs seem allergic to fixing / improving the game.

I've had this happen at least twice in career mode. The campaign thankfully gives you a number of advantages such as getting your reputation and pilot level up a bit higher before you're let loose on the Inner Sphere. The early game can still be rough though. Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC is an enormous help in that regard. Once you reach reputation level 4 you unlock Cantina Missions which add an extra source of income along with (frequently) valuable equipment and weapons. Usually these involve things you're going to be doing anyways. Kill 10 tanks, a dozen helicopters or maybe a couple Urbanmechs, that sort of thing. Other times they want weapons or equipment of a certain tier that you can trade in. You can always cancel these if you're not making any progress on them. High Reward missions also in that DLC add mission chains that often reward you with mechs, at the cost of *sometimes* being really difficult unless you have good pilots.

Hmm I have never gotten myself backed into a progress corner. But feel free to take the early campaign slowly and do easier missions than your reputation and make use of faction loyalty to get the most out of missions. Once you're feeling pretty resilient then you can approach missions faster. But even if the campaign is meant to feel like months or years it's fine if it takes you a lot of in game time, the clans don't actually invade un 3049.

@ThatSlowTypingGuy honestly the AI are trash even when maxed out and they only soak up damage. The missions that are "tough" just have a lot of mechs that can be easily put down with headshots while your allies prevent you getting mobbed, but they won't do much to actually take down enemy mechs. The only trick is searching for gauss cannons before 3040.
