This is an IDE hard drive which was used prior to sata hard drive and USB 3.0 didn’t exist back then.

Mine has 10 pins in that spot and that little thing is all the way to the right side. Should I move it to the left? It’s says what each slot is, CS, Slave, master, blank one, then PM2. I want it to work on my windows 10 laptop. It is. It not detected at all.

If you are using a bootable usb which contains windows make sure in the bios you select usb boot < auto >. Problem solved
