Ja, door tegenwind op de terugweg. Soms slaan ze die tussenstop wel over, dat was bij ons ook het geval. Geen idee waarom, misschien minder tegenwind of omdat de vlucht niet helemaal vol zat. Ze konden dit bij pushback echt pas vertellen, dus het lijkt me dat ze dit eerder zouden weten als het allemaal alleen vanwege de wind is.

Volgens mij heeft het te maken met dat warme lucht ‘dikker’ is waardoor er meer lift nodig is. Men moet dus meer vermogen genereren voor een langere tijd. Naar het westen vliegen duurt inderdaad wat langer. Dus dat bij elkaar zal wel voor een tussenstop zorgen.

i have flown from New York to dublin with an a320 neo. no clue how much the space difference is but was a good flight (this one had screens though)

what wrong with it?, Its has a low price for to get somewhere isn't that just great? For saving money to spend on vacation destination itself or maybe just to travel more frequently by using a different company can really seal the deal to fly Low-Cost

It’s a flight that I’ve been curious to try for quite long. Yes it was very long but it wasn’t that bad at all actually as long as you have enough to do

If there isn’t a market for this destination, it will disappear rapidly. And I know the existence of books are unknown for many (young) people, but do try this ancient entertainment for once. It can make a 6.5 hour flight doable.

Yeah, it’s very long on a 737 but as long as you make sure you’ve got enough to do during the flight it really isn’t as bad. One of the bigger downsides indeed is that food isn’t free, but you still save hundreds of euros. We paid around €300 for this flight, while KLM and Emirates were both way above €800 Turns out there’s quite a market for this route since it has been around for quite some years and the flights are full most of the time :)

@@jsaviation € 300 is geen slechte prijs. Hoe zit het met de baggage? Zit dat in de prijs of had je alleen handbagage? Ik ben zelf ook wel eens naar Dubai gevlogen. Viel me toen ook al op dat KLM en Emirates aan de hoge kant zaten en op zeer onhandige tijden (georienteerd op 's nachts overstappen). Uiteindelijk voor 500 euro met Austrian heen en Lufthansa terug gevlogen. Later wel met Emirates gevlogen op deze route, maar dan altijd met een overstap richting Zuid-Oost Azië. Vreemd genoeg waren die tickets een stuk goedkoper als wanneer je uitstapte in Dubai.

You get what you pay for. Emirates economy is fine and I'm very big. You just act like a spoiled snob.

@@wezzel2806 Ik heb uitgerekend dat je +/- 300 euro duurder uit bent (retour) met Emirates (wel vanaf Dusseldorf) Voordeel is daar dat je dus geen tussenstop hebt op de terugweg, meer comfort, maaltijden + dranken inclusief en je kunt 7KG handbagage mee aan boord nemen en krijgt 5 kilo meer ruimbagage (25 kilo in totaal). Het aanbod van Transavia lijkt goedkoop maar dat is het in mijn beleving niet echt.

Thanks! The recline and customer service both were good. We did check bags. I’m not sure about United, but as far as I know at Schiphol Airport it’s always possible to gate check your hand luggage. It’s not needed though as it’s a long haul flight, so there’s enough space.

Not anymore, they’re optional unless masks are still required in your own country. On this flight they were still required but we could take them off all flight as no one said anything about it and barely anyone wore one

Ahh that’s bad! I’ve seen delta switching their A330neo at AMS so many times. I think CDG has a better chance not to get the last minute change indeed. But I heard CDG sucks to transfer at tho
