The Batsquatch is absolutely worth the hype - whatchu talkin' bout? 😆 But seriously, thanks a lot for this honest, level-headed review.

I had the smaller one, Turbo Bumble Bee. I loved it, it slept for a really long time compared to the basic Fireball yoyo. The only thing i hated about it was it ate up those brake pads lol especially as a kid i remember buying those packs of string and pads all the time. Flashback through memory lane!!

What is a schmoove groove?
@CasualThrow Жыл бұрын
A cut inside the body of the yoyo (on each half) intended to open it up a bit and thereby reduce how much the string rubs against the sides while you’re playing it. I believe it was a Doc Pop innovation.

@CasualThrow ok thank you! And also sorry for the questions but, what is a ski jump? I heard someone say the throw they used had ski jumps on it.

I know this is kind of old but does this spin about as long as your bi metals?
@CasualThrow Жыл бұрын
While in play, nope. The more performance-oriented design of most bimetals means that they’ll generally out-spin a narrower organic like this one.

So you supposedly cut your finger on a yoyo string, but the only picture you have shows the cut drenched in some kind of chili sauce? You are a liar.

I DID slightly cut it on a string but added something (can’t remember what) to be silly. You have no sense of humor.

This was my first unresponsive yoyo I ever bought, at probably age 11-12 in 2006. I had a turbo bumblebee before this (still have it). I haven't thrown in years l, but if I had to only keep one yoyo, it'd be that translucent blue hitman. Way back when I made spacers and siliconed the grooves. I also got a translucent blue mini motu and xconvict to continue the collection. I had a black dark magic, but traded it. Too bad yoyojam went out of business... I prefer the hitman without caps, it's light and really zips around. Awesome yoyo. You hit the nail on the head, it's not forgiving like newer yoyos. The high walls really need you to watch your string lines.

I literally used to own 2 of these when I was a kid - back in 2009 . I miss this yoyo so much and you cant find it almost anywhere now Edit: do you remember the yoyojam atmosphere? I used to own that one as well, but sadly broke the plastic
@rickwyattdotnet Жыл бұрын
Honest review and much appreciated. That is my yoyo I help develop with Dale Bell when we released the Patriot. I wanted something much more affordable vs my MegaSpinFaktor models and the ones I broke the sleep record with. It was never meant to be anything more than a beginner/intermediate yoyo but the delrin composite of it has taken off into many plastic yoyos still seen today. the hybrid response was more of a "other throws have a starburst or a pad, lets mix em and see what happens". BTW, Johnnie Delvalle...aka. John Steele did the artwork as YYJ didnt like my design so they trashed it...lol.

Like many others I’ve been stuck on the dismount for awhile now. It was frustrating not necessarily because it’s tough but because the other tutorials really didn’t explain the dismount that well. This is the tutorial that finally made it click for me. Thank you very much.
@CasualThrow2 жыл бұрын
BOOM! Glad I could help. And what you said was exactly why I made this. There were some good tutorials already out, but I felt they kind of glossed over that nuance on the dismount - which is the key to getting out of it.
