Not the union jack, the St George Cross. Since when has the St George flag not been inclusive ? The backlash is because of religion and politics being brought into football. The whole George Floyd taking the knee thing was not something that the people of England felt responsible for and so didn't see how it was applied to them. It was an American issue. Not only that, but Islam and LGBT rights are not compatible. It's religion and politics neither are welcome on the football field for these reasons.

In my opinion, Aston Villa might not make it into the Premier League's top six next season due to their potential deep run in the Conference League. As the new season begins, they'll head to St James' Park to play against Newcastle United on Saturday, August 12. Given the European football coming back to Villa Park in the upcoming season, I foresee a packed schedule for Villa in 2023/24. They'll first have to get past either Hibernian or Luzern in a two-legged play-off tie at the end of August to qualify for the group stages. I'm concerned that the demands of European football might impact Villa's league performance. While I believe Emery's side has the potential to make a significant impact in the Conference League, managing league and European fixtures can be challenging. As seen with other Premier League teams, the strain of playing multiple times a week throughout a season can pose not just physical, but also mental challenges. This is perhaps why some teams in the past have seemed eager to exit the Europa League; the added pressure can be a lot to handle.
