So if you go into settings you can select the mode you want the exhaust to stay in. There is absolutely no need to pull a fuse unless you just don't know how your vehicle operates.
@krazyk86cu

This is incorrect. The ecu will override your settings depending on idle and rpms. Pulling the fuse means the valves stay open. Period.

if you over tighten the oil filter cap you can crack the cooler housing.

Are you talking about the fuel filter housing or the drain plug? Couldn't find any actual torque specs for the filter housing so I just snugged it good. On camera it looks like I'm cranking it down harder than I actually am. You can feel when it's properly tight.

How can they just cancel like that without any notification? Especially if your insurance was paid in advance. You could probably sue them if that was the case.

They dropped my full coverage to just liability so they didn’t completely drop me. Regardless, if it’s not illegal to inform the insured it should be. If I had been in an accident and then found this out you better believe I would have been taking legal action. I’m sure they’d just lie and say they did notify me though.

I heard it’s a nightmare to put this thing together though instructional videos are horrible instructions that come with it are horrible. Some people said it took them four hours just to put it together other than that. Looks like a great idea once it’s together.

Need to remove the oil filter first to allow oil to drain down into the oil pan from the oil filter housing since it’s a cartridge oil filter.

Installed these today. Key thing is the short fat socket to lock the spring in the bracket to a bent position. Skip the zip ties and leave one stud nut loosened on one end. You can get the brackets in place without removing the rubi rails. Leave the socket in place until the step is attached with pins, socket comes right out when step is depressed 👌🏼

Is there no KingPins (pins) to inspect ? I also noted it has no pad-key stainless clips as the T&C have & the rear pistons does not need to be turned in with your tool, just pressed in & maybe out for easy seal-ring replacements. I was thinking about shifting my 11 ø300 to 14's ø330mm 2 pistons in the front. But now i will check if possible to get Pacifica Calipers seems better tobseevice and probably better anti-hanging

there is a ground post for the negative connection. use that. its on the driver side of the compartment and is labelled as a negative terminal. its on the pillar that the wiper system is attached to. also, better to use just a trickle charger to pop the bonnet using the fuse box connector, you don't need to use a jump box. this connector is not a fuse by the way, it is a positive terminal to power the hood latch. lastly, the LifePO4 battery is not likely "dead". it is just sleeping. The battery has internal circuity that protects it against excessive discharge which puts it to sleep. it just need a little kick to wake up. if your battery is truly dead, you will need to replace it. if you attempt to jump a truly dead lithium battery, you may start a fire. call for service/tow. you can use another car to jump the car as long as you use the negative terminal post and not the negative battery terminal. you can also charge it for at least 10 minutes with a lithium ion capable trickle charger.
@krazyk86cu
@krazyk86cu Ай бұрын
Appreciate the advice. However, I do not believe a trickle charger will work for popping the bonnet. Even the instruction manual says to use jumper cables and a car battery. As far as the battery being “dead” I agree that was the wrong term for it. I figured saying dead would make more sense to most people and show up better for people searching what to do. In reference to the pop out terminal for the bonnet, fuse didn’t sound right but I wasn’t sure what to call it. lol I need to update the video, but it did end up requiring a jump to “wake” the battery. Really appreciate the tip about the negative post. I overlooked that. I’ll see if I can annotate with the correct terms in post. Cheers!

You are misleading people. Please read the manual. Rear skid were installed wrong. In addition, you should always keep control arm same length. Because left right corner bear different weight, the hole won’t align unless you lift pinion a little bit. By adjusting the length, now you have a bad thrust angle.
@krazyk86cu
@krazyk86cu 29 күн бұрын
Let me preface this with saying, this was over 2 years ago and I no longer own a Jeep. With that said, I am rewatching the video to see what was done incorrectly. Other than me playing around with the control arms, how were the skids in the rear installed incorrectly? As far as my control arms however, the original shop that installed the lift never properly torqued my control arms I believe that likely had something to do with my issues installing these, though I could certainly be wrong. I am by no means a professional. I don't recall how long after this, but eventually I had a more competent shop go over my entire Rock Krawler lift and tweak and torque things correctly. If those nuts on the control arms were torqued at the correct specifications, I never would have been able to adjust them lol

What do you mean? As in adjust the pins on each side of the base? If that’s what you mean, then no. You’d need to set the top back on the Jeep and then adjust the base higher. If you just mean grabbing the release lever and cranking it higher, then yes
