I love buses and Translink Metro is my favourite bus or rail company to exist

With all the hype, one would expect a world class terminus, with trains and passengers protected from the elements by a trainshed. Instead, it seems, trains will terminate outside the building, as at the resurrected (L') Derry Waterside. Platform canopies are no substitute for full, or at least partial, cover by a roof. No doubt bureaucrats will say that particulates from diesel exhaust are harmful to health, and thus non compliant with modern standards, but in this day and age, erecting a high ceilinged roof with extractor fans or natural ventilation, is surely not beyond our capabilities. Queen's Quay and the pre-1976 Great Victoria Street stations, both had trainsheds covering at least part of the platforms; I don't recall any complaints about fumes in them. Of course both were in a sorry state, between lack of money and the damage done by the Luftwaffe and terrorists. It's too late now, but it would have been wonderful if the Boyne Bridge had been demolished or replaced, allowing the rail terminus to return to a Great Victoria Street frontage, with the bus station alongside, rather than Grosvenor Road.

Good, cannot wait to visit.

Is there any details on how passengers can get back onto great Victoria St by foot? is there anything being put in place that to make it more accessible or safer due to increased numbers ?

Will there be a specific platform for the Enterprise?

Very impressive. Belfast is building infrastructure while all the Dublin government does is produce plans of things they have no intention of building.

By far the best train we ever ever had in the history of the state, unfortunately in a few years the enterprise will be replaced by obvious uncomfortable noisy railcars

It’ll be a new era for Belfast’s trains, but also a throwback to the days when trains were respected enough to have grand buildings built for them. As a Derry boy I hope some day I can catch a train and arrive to this building.

Not to mention an hourly Belfast - Portrush; an hourly Belfast Newcastle (via Downpatrick); an hourly Belfast Sligo (via Omagh & Enniskillen); an hourly Belfast - Newry (via Lisburn & Banbridge) and; and hourly Belfast - Galway (via Armagh, Clones, Monaghan, Cavan, Mullingar & Athlone). For the latter, Belfast - Galway? Change at Athenry for Limerick.
