its embarrassing how bad your grammar is considering you're an english speaking educator who works for AWS. way before 1 year ago they had AI voices that would have done a better job than you. just like why? what is wrong with amazon...

If I divide my amplify project into Separate frontend and backend repos, the frontend repo(next js) doesn't have access to the server-side amplify folder, which contains the backend schema. However, to achieve end-to-end type safety, generateClient needs the schema type. Is there any way to get types without accessing the Amplify data schema?

AWS IoT 1-Click will transition into its EOL in a phased manner. On December 15, 2023, AWS will stop onboarding new customers to AWS IoT 1-Click. On May 16, 2024, AWS will discontinue access to AWS IoT 1-Click service from AWS Management Console. On December 16, 2024 (end-of-life date), AWS will stop all support for AWS IoT 1-Click service. On this date, the service will reach its end-of-life. AWS will shut down the support for AWS IoT 1-Click APIs, associated AWS CLIs and mobile applications.

I respect this man (Yuaho Zheng) so much, BUT this video has not aged well. 7:16 is not striking well with me. Shell companies are using AWS servers in North Carolina and California among other places to bulk-serve problems, including double cloaked domestic and foreign companies posing as Iceland-based, multi-shell companies being run by very deep pocket manipulation organizations. Again, I respect this brother, but AWS Amazon Web Servers is part of the problem and is _DOUBLE DIPPING._ If this was a war, they would be selling weapons to both sides, using the same trains and trucks to offload goods on opposite sides of the road. Yuaho Zheng is a good thinker and communicator.

Hi Christina, Great video man, I am your biggest fan. I need help a bit. I’m currently working on an Amplify project where I’ve run into a bit of a challenge. Initially, I used the post-signup trigger to create a user in DynamoDB, and everything worked perfectly. However, our workflow has changed, and now user signups have been disabled. Instead, accounts are manually created directly from the Cognito User Pool console. Here’s what I’m trying to achieve: I need to trigger a function when a user first logs in after their account has been manually created and they have changed their password for the first time (i.e., the first time they use their account after the initial setup). Since the post-signup trigger is no longer applicable due to the disabled signup process, I’m looking for an alternative way to execute this functionality. Specifically, I’d like to know how to: Detect when a user has successfully confirmed their password change (i.e., the first time they are actually using their manually created account). Trigger a Lambda function at this point to create an entry in DynamoDB or perform other necessary initial setup tasks.

Hi there. 👋 With AWS Systems Manager, you pay only for what you use on priced features, as you use them. There are no minimum fees or upfront commitments. To avoid unexpected charges, be sure to check the pricing page of each service before you launch. 👍 ^RW
