Is there a specific reason people use the ax210D2W over something like the ax210NGW when upgrading the steam deck's wifi? Is it just the right size to fit the steam deck or just cheaper?

@@dragonadmirer4807 they’re the same chip, just one is standalone as a chip and the other sku is the chip but soldered onto a PCIe board.

@@anthonyjones4120 yes, because the stock screen is 800p and thus will not display any higher resolutions. Unless docked to a higher res external display of course.

Have you try playing games on performance mode or turbo mode? Anything between 70c to 92c. That's when sd card reader fails. I need more information before do it or send it to RMA.

@@TheDarkstar826 users have reported SD card slot failure at the lower end wattages and users have reported no SD card slot failure at the higher end. The issue isn’t heat related.

I noticed the sd card reader write and read speed decrease when the temperature is 70c. 82c or above destroy it self. Technically, I can't play performance mode or turbo mode. I got the video on my channel. I just need your result for my test.

@@TheDarkstar826 I personally have ran the Ally solely at 25w/30w with no SD card slot failure problems. Also to explain what you’re seeing, that behavior is seen in most storage mediums. As heat increases transfer speeds decrease. You’d see this with the SSD as well.

Wait so the sd card issue was a QC issue all along? They were saying the heat killed the sd cards completely but its just the reader that was losing connection because of the bad solder points? Would this be a long term solution? I have never used my sd card reader except for testing if it worked or not, i thought it would ruin my sd card lmao

I’m pretty confident it’s the quality of the fuse/solder in the fuse next to the SD card slot IC. Not “heat” killing the SD card.

Το ίδιο θέμα είχε και εμένα ήταν η αντίσταση 3.3v ασφάλεια από την ώρα που ήταν καινούργιο η sd ποτέ δεν διαβάστηκε. Έκανα γεφύρωμα με σύρμα. Και δούλεψε οκ! Το ic είναι σπάνια βλάβη. Το πέρασα θερμοκρασία και αυτό για να είμαι σίγουρος δουλεύει 100% οποίος έχει πρόβλημα 50€ του τοω σε 3 ώρες.
