I don't believe that you need the most controversial topics to make the best stand-up content, in fact, I've seen it done. Secondly, just because someone is making a stand-up act about some topic, does not mean you have to accept it - just in the name of comedy. The younger ladies first stressed that is just comedy, then, later on she showed that she was affected, offended even. Of course, you are going to affect some people with a performance no matter how much you try to talk around it. No, wrong, not all comedians ARE funny, period. It's always up to the audience and especially you as a person. Don't try to duck the fact by excusing the comedians. Finally, one can not convince a believer that their religion has faults, because if it did, it all would fall apart. I'm impossible. The English landlord was and still is to a certain degree very opinionated and bigoted, always has a ridiculous view of the world. This is the humour he is taking the ‘piss’ out himself as a character. The bar is fake not real beer, but it’s to show his line of work. Al is a very highly educated guy, he doesn’t talk like that in reality. It actually self deprecating. We love to laugh at ourselves.
