This was super helpful, thank you. I accidentally got some over spray on some picture frames I was repainting!

I have a brand new 25 Ram Rebel and it does not have the passive entry. I am so angry about this. I’ve been looking for videos and a parts list. Can you tell me how much it cost in parts?

Anti-moan kit 😂 I have a 2019 Ram and it does the same thing anytime there is high moisture. Usually cold or snow or rain or humidity. I remember reading something about the brake assist doing something funny. Basically saying that the moisture can create a kind of caked up layer in the brake, and when the brakes first are used it has to kind of scrape off that crusted layer before the noise goes away. I noticed someone in the comments mentioned they turned off the brake assist, so that reminded me of some other comment I read.

We live in Arizona, so moisture is a small factor in brake fluid. If I lived in a humid area I'd change the fluid every 2-3 years also. Excellent video though!

One of the better videos on this, nice you actually take time to show the wrenching vs just talking about it and cutting to the money shot this old house style!

Which fasteners do you torque with the weight loaded on the suspension and which ones can you tighten before you put the weight on it?

Great video! Thanks so much for sharing it. One thing that might help with the ball joint separation is if you take that nut off and put it on upside down you have a better platform for the lower separator claw to grab. Otherwise if the thing is really stuck in there you chew the edges up and never get it loose.

I want to do this but a bit nervous of breaking the panel (especially as I have seen other videos say you really need to yank it to get it off). Any advice for NOT breaking the actual parts and having to epoxy it? (don't care about clips... they are replaceable)

Nice video. I have one just like 👍 t and it works great, but the forward reverse selector is loose and moves out of place.

I have a husky brand one that came with a 10 gallon compressor. It’s releasing air out by the trigger even tho it’s still working. But I feel like it’s not suppose to release any air from it to make it work. I have to see if I still have the receipt as Home Depot has a 3 year warranty on pneumatic tools according to their website (HD owns husky). If not I’ll be giving this a shot. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the great video! At the end you recommended replacing all the clips instead of trying to reuse them... do you remember how many of each kind are required for each side?

Do you recommend replacing the springs? I don't want to level my truck want to increase the ride height a bit and increase the rough road condition driving - off/gravel, etc. Looking to get similar to the Rebel set up.
@SawdustSquad8 ай бұрын
I think the rebel springs are thicker. How that affects ride quality, I don't know. My guess would be that the ride would be more stiff with a heavier spring. I don't think a 2" lift needs them. I'm not an expert, just my opinion.

My bighorn needs this too, but I’m not big on messing with door panels. Ram really needs to include proximity sensors and led headlights for how much they charge!!

You could put a5100 bilstein adjustable and set it to one or 1and a half inch - you would have a two or two and a half- if your arm was too far angled- you can add a taller tire

How did you tighten the locknut on the top of the strut? I’m doing mine and the post isn’t long enough for me to grab it with a secondary tool.
@SawdustSquad11 ай бұрын
I put a ratcheting wrench on and then fit a 1/4 inch drive socket down inside the wrench. I'm not sure but I think the socket was 8mm and just fit.

How long did it take you to DIY the front,rear and UCA? And what’s that tool called to break off the UCA? Was alignment required?
@SawdustSquad11 ай бұрын
The front took me at least 6 hours. The rears took about an hour. The tool is a pickle fork, or a ball joint removal tool. Any time you replace a control arm or front strut you will want to get an alignment.

Thank you for this video. My 21 ram 1500 at 19,000 miles has a sort of spongy brake feel, sometimes causing me to press the brake pad twice to feel confident in my stopping power, I believe my rotors and brake pads are fine. I’m wondering if a fluid flush will remedy my situation. Any feedback is appreciated. Cheers

I wish I thought about watching how to rekey locks before calling someone out to do for me , I bought a condo and had a locksmith come out to replace all four locks or rekey all the locks and he said all the locks couldn't be rekeyed so he replaced all four locks 2 deadbolts and 2 knob locks and was charged almost $1200.00 now after watching this video I think he wanted to make more money so I think he told me the old locks couldn't be keyed but I'm not a professional locksmith but I could be wrong
