I love this movie it is so so funny. But never in a million years in the real world would someone who looks like Rosario Dawson ever have a relationship with someone who looks like Dante. Only in the movies man which I guess that's why it's great

This is my absolute favorite KS movie. Thank God Rosario said yes. She was brilliant. I can't imagine the train wreck if Bryce Dallas Howard had said yes. That woman is a robot.

Kevin always wanted to be in the Hollywood club. But the way he became such desperate cheerleader for the garbage Disney and WB put out over the last 10 years is sad.

I'm a huge Kevin fan, but man, he REALLY shouldn't have done Clerks 3. I'm sure his heart attack had something to do with it, but it was a movie that didn’t need to be made. Even with all of his duds, I still wish that Kevin Smith had a chance to direct just one big budget, Hollywood blockbuster, Superhero movie. I think timing had a lot to do with it, because when he had a chance to write the Superman movie that never came to be, that old Hollywood guard (John Peters) looked at Kevin like he was just some untalented idiot kid who was only invited into the room because he knew a little something about comics. The only real old school, Hollywood executive who ever really gave Kevin a chance was Harvey Weinstein. Kevin seemed to have had a falling out with Harvey way before the MeToo stuff came out, because he was such an asshole to work with! So, once that relationship reached it's end, no other major Hollywood studio executive was willing to give Kevin a chance to direct a big budget, Superhero movie. I think that he would've had a very interesting take on the genre. Say what you will about the man, Kevin Smith was the voice of Generation X for a time. Clerks will always hold a special place in my heart because I was a teenager working at an Italian deli in-between college classes, and I truly hated it for all the reasons Kevin showed us in Clerks. All of my friends who are my age all feel the same way. So while Kevin may not have ever directed a movie that grossed hundreds of millions of dollars, he still managed to capture the hearts of younger Gen Xers who will always support him, even with his duds like Tusk. You the man Kevin!

Kind of insane how in the Entertainment world if you're a Heroin Addict who runs from the Law and gets a Jail sentence, it's fine to just come back when you get cleaned up and we'll pay you a bunch of money. Any other job, Hell no!!

I can say for a 100% FACT that my large groups of hometown friends(bout 60 peeps) 'were' all huge Kevin SMith/VClerks fans.. Im talking the books, seeing him in person at one of his tours & of course The coveted 'CLERKS ETNIES' which are more rare then Randal on Good Behavior.... ~~~Kevin SMith betrayed everyone just to stay relevant.. He isn't genuine with his wokeness. Nobody Gen-X or older are. It's all BS just to keep that pathetic hollywood status... What he did with He-Man was the final straw for most but he was doing that way before that & his ego is out of control. He thinks he is all that * then some & a real life Randal.. Ignoring my argument & pov there's still 50+ dudes that i know of in RL who used to love this dude who now hate him. Most people used to love a celeb & move on & stop caring but in this dudes case it's str8 ^ dislike! That weirdo BS might make sense in the Hollywood crowds but not in everyday real life people.. My whole crew was all mixed of every race & what have you & They would declare me & all of us a ish or obe in every way. of course none if it's true. But we aren't promoting it so with us or against is the left motto... ~Lastly,, Clerks was only special because it hit home with people who lived that mid 1990's suburbia lifestyle & it was funny.. But most fans of clerks could relate to it... /rant off.. sorry guys i woulda kept going & going... I used to sign my forum post with "in Kevin SMith our 90's are safe" ugh!

(1:13:09) not that it wasn’t already well known, but this demonstrates Harvey Weinstein’s over inflated ego. Dude truly believed himself to be completely untouchable. When it comes to the rich and powerful elite, he was bottom of the totem pole. The TRULY untouchable ones aren’t involved in entertainment. They are in charge of companies like Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, or Northrop Grumman and have not only authorized ABOVE TOP SECRET clearance that is even HIGHER than that of the President of the US, but also authority to deploy and command the highest elite black ops of all branches, access to CIA/FBI/NSA resources, have a small army of highly trained soldiers under their direct command, and (on top of all that), as it’s their primary business, obviously have access to technology, weapons, and information that likely won’t be known by the general public within our lifetimes, if ever. THESE are the people that are unable to be prosecuted in any court and are truly above the law. Weinstein thought himself a god when the full extent of his influence didn’t go further than the entertainment industry and was entirely dependent on his wealth and on his ability to utilize other people, both in and outside the industry, who had influence where he did not, but were willing to do him favors for favors from him in return. A large mutual pool of influence made of the sum of a vast amount of people. All now no longer accessible to Weinstein as a result of his hubris and arrogance.

It is ultra hard to follow up a classic, but somehow they pulled it off. Adding a new character to the mix can backfire but Rosario Dawson blended right in. Terrific film.
