In the UK ( 230 Volts AC ) .... another way to test , is to wire your 1 μF capacitor in series with a 25 Watt , 230 Volt Tungsten filament bulb ... connect the whole lot across the mains ... the bulb should glow with an orange similar to a tube ( valve ) heater from a vintage radio ( makes a good nightlight as well ) ! ............ Should ( anyone ? ) wish to check the EHT diode ( connected to the 1μF capacitor ) ... you CANNOT test this with a multimeter set to ( diode test ) , because there are several diodes in series , inside ... so .... to test , wire up with a 1 K Ω resistor in series and place the whole lot across a 30 Volt DC power supply , and you should read 8 to 10 Volts across the diode ( much like a Zener diode ) ... but ... in reverse , a Zener would read 0.7 Volts , and this diode should read the FULL voltage of your power supply , to show that it might hold off the full EHT ( ? ) .. ( tried - n - tested ) .. DAVE™🛑

I just go hammer time on it takes about five good hits not exactly on the center but do around the core of it and leave the core behind. Pretty much leaves behind same size piece he had drilled. all the plastic will break easily with a hammer no chisel or anything else needed seriously 20 seconds and im cleaning up the mess and pulling the motor out

There is another method to try before cutting the fan. I had stripped the plastic square center post of my fan trying to remove it the 'correct way' with two wrenches, and I couldn't get a grip on it. Put an adjustable wrench on the front of the motor directly behind the pulley that the drum belt goes on. There is a tiny flat spot the wrench can grab onto. Rotate the wrench/shaft so that it hits one of the dryer walls. This will prevent the shaft from turning. Not being able to turn is super critical. Then (with gloves ON because the metal is sharp as hell !!!) grab the fan and twist it hard. I had to put my body weight into it. It will likely break free. Make sure you are twisting the correct direction. Most of these fans have reversed threads. After I used a wrench to stop the shaft from turning, I was able to twist it until it broke free. I had to use both hands, and I know if I had not been wearing protective gloves it would have cut the hell out of me. Get cut resistant gloves and save a trip to the ER! Saved me from having to spend $15 on another fan, so I was happy.

This is by far the best video I found on cleaning the glass for an LG wall oven. Don’t ever use the self-clean feature. It left a cloud between the pains of glass. I had to use backing soda and vinegar and let it sit after the 20 min dismantling of the door. I got it all back together without breaking it! Thanks for spending the time to make this video.

New dryer not working after 3 prong cord install. Swap the other 2 wires on the terminals with neutral still in the center?
@fredsapplianceacademy
@fredsapplianceacademy 22 күн бұрын
Neutral will always go in the center. L1 and L2 won't matter. If it's still not working after install, might have an issue with power supply or the dryer itself.
