I did something different. I have a rectangle pool just like in the video. I inflated my pool with air, held the pool up to my ear as I walked around it. Eventually, as you get closer to where the hole is, the sound of air coming out gets louder. I passed my hand over that area, and I was able to find the hole. Hopefully, where you live, there isnt a lot of traffic noise, but even if there is a lot of noise in the neighborhood, try it anyway. Thank you for recommending to cut the patch in a small circle! I had no idea, so I did a bigger rectangle, which as you said, came off when I deflated the pool.

I did that still can't find it; didn't see any big bubbles just the little ones from the soapy water. Will try again
@RandomDIY092 ай бұрын
Make sure to inflate it until it's as firm as it can be, and then push down or lean on it to increase the pressure inside the inflatable.
@Magame812 ай бұрын
@@RandomDIY09 I must have several tiny holes or one big tear as it deflates by 50% within 45 min or so. Odd how I can't find it. I went on the outside of pool, squeezing, did the soapy water, checking especially the seam, then went IN the pool to look to on the inside seams. Be darned can't find it. Will giveit one more try then will stuff it with both foam pool noodles, and actually I think the large liter size empty plastic soda bottles capped, bet that will do the job as a last resort.
@Magame81Ай бұрын
@@RandomDIY09 Did all that could not find it. BUT I DID find it, by putting on 2 pair of reading glasses (or use magnifier glass but then you only have one hand free) but that way the tube top was easier to see the horizontal pencil like rip it had.. using my hands pushing around I could then see it was a tear as it opened slightly...it was almost 1/2 in tear, fixed it with rubber shoe glue and a bit of rounded flex tape on top of that. I must Still have a few pinhole leak as it is almost OK as it is, as once the full pressure of air is out it stays inflated but not as firm...so this is the last year of this pool anyway so I just bought a can of CLEAR FLEX Spray that puts a rubberized coating on a surface, will put that on top where the drier areas of vinyl are (on top of tube) and around where my leak was. I think either a squirrel was in the shed I stored it in, or I can't lift it out I drag the pool out may have hit a splinter in the old wood shed floor? We have no kids only I go in it and all I do is float.

Yeah I recently got an inflatable hot tub and have only had it 5 days and it seemed to have lost a decent amount of air, pumped it up so it was nice and firm and filled it, and today I had to empty to clean it out because I am currently waiting on a replacement heater pump unit that just didn't work out of the box, and while emptying the hot tub I noticed it was nowhere near as firm as it was, and as all the water was drained, it was pretty low on air, making me think there is a leak somewhere. I do have patches and will try this out. It is fairly big so may take some time but here is hoping it isn't an issue and just how the inflatable hot tubs are, or if there is a hole, be easily patched.

Is it a flat cable? The strands should all be organized as shown in the picture, so you can go by how they exit the cable.

Hi, you have presented an excellent video showing voltages to verify, I dont get backlight at all does that mean Power Board BN44-00667A is bad? I would really appreciate if you could guide.
@RandomDIY097 ай бұрын
While it is possible that only parts of the power board stopped working, you should check if it produces any voltages. I would check if the TV’s status lights come on, and check if the TV produces an image. I connected a DVD player and shined a flashlight onto the panel - in my case I could see the movie but without backlight. If that works, power is likely not the problem. To make sure, find the connector from the power board. Very close to that connector your board might have test points which are labeled. This is what I measure in the beginning of the video. See if you get voltage there.

Hmm. I had searched the web and saw an Reddit post and people were saying "just buy a new flat cable; don't try to terminate a flat cable", so I thought it would be very difficult to terminate a flat Ethernet cable. Judging by this video, it does not seem hard. What gives?
@RandomDIY099 ай бұрын
It really isn’t hard! A flat cable is easier than a round one in my experience as the strands are easier to position. In my case I had to choose between running a new cable from the 2nd floor into the basement, or fix the broken part - easy decision ;)

@@RandomDIY09stupid question. Will flat cable work with cat6 keystone insert? Figure cut the tip off my cable and find out. Just hoping they there is no difference in the amount/type of wires in fat just different shape? Trying to fond videos but cant
@RandomDIY097 ай бұрын
Flat vs round use the same strands and twists. I fixed a round cable with this method, too. The keystone connector is also RJ45 so it will work. Just check if you need to mirror the wires as you deal with the female connector.

@RandomDIY0910 ай бұрын
Yours could be electric. Then there should be a switch inside the camper. If not, you could try to pull down the left and right arms. The awning is spring loaded, so you need some good leverage, maybe tie a rope up at the top and pull. Good luck!

Now that the Facebook Portal is officially dead, I'm thinking about getting a used one to turn into a smart screen, small tv or something like that, because I like the design, I think it would look good in my kitchen. Do you have an idea for something similar for your device? I'm looking for more details on the lcd panel of this device to see if I can convert it and add an hdmi input (to plug a chromecast or a firestick).
@RandomDIY0910 ай бұрын
Cool idea. I personally threw it away as I felt it wasn’t worth the effort to re-engineer it. You might be better off using the shell and exchange the inside with a raspberry pi or so and a known LCD. You might get a fb portal for cheap and if you figure out the display maybe you only need a micro processor to turn the lcd on and such. Using the onboard micro would be another level imo.
@nicolasandrade118510 ай бұрын
@@RandomDIY09 You're right, I don't think it's worth reengineering this equipment, because if it had been a sales success, there would be more information about it on the internet. Thanks for your raspberry pi tip, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe I'll do this with an old iMac g4, which I can buy here in France for less than €30
