Ubay ibn Ka’ab narrated: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُكْثِرُ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَيْكَ فَكَمْ أَجْعَلُ لَكَ مِنْ صَلَاتِي؟ فَقَالَ: مَا شِئْتَ. قَالَ قُلْتُ الرُبُعَ؟ قَالَ: مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنْ زِدْتَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ. قُلْتُ النِّصْفَ؟ قَالَ: مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنْ زِدْتَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ. قَالَ قُلْتُ فَالثُّلُثَيْنِ؟ قَالَ: مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنْ زِدْتَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ. قُلْتُ أَجْعَلُ لَكَ صَلَاتِي كُلَّهَا؟ قَالَ: إِذًا تُكْفَى هَمَّكَ وَيُغْفَرُ لَكَ ذَنْبُكَ “ O Messenger of Allah, I frequently invoke Allah to send Selawat upon you. How much of my supplication should I devote to you (Selawat)?” He said, “You may devote as much as you wish.” When I suggested “a quarter”, he said, “Do whatever you wish, but it will be better for you if you increase it.” I suggested “a half”, he replied, “Do whatever you wish, but it will be better for you if you increase it.” I suggested “two-thirds”, he then said, “Do whatever you wish but it will be better for you if you increase it.” I said, “Shall I devote all my supplications to send Selawat upon you?” He said, “Then you will be freed from your worries and your sins will be forgiven.”

عن رسول الله ﷺ: اللهم أنت ربي لا إله إلا أنت، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك، ووعدك ما استطعت، أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت، أبوء لك بنعمتك علي، وأبوء بذنبي فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت، من قالها حين يمسي، فمات من ليلته؛ دخل الجنة، ومن قالها حين يصبح، فمات من يومه؛ دخل الجنة⭐

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.” [Abu Dawud].

قال الله تعالى : إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا (سورة الأحزاب ٥٦ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّد وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّد كَمَا صَلَّيتَ وَبَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبرَاهِيم وَآلِ إِبرَاهِيم إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

O Allaah, send Your salaah (grace, honour and mercy) upon Muhammad and upon his wives and offspring, as You sent Your salaah upon Ibraaheem, and send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon his wives and offspring, as You sent Your blessings upon the family of Ibraaheem. You are indeed Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

I am 24 yrs old and I have noticed that: everything that we follow that we are ordered to do by the religion DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE TO A BETTER LIFE FOR YOU AND THE ONES AROUND YOU. In my workplace there is a lot of people who are lazy and do not do much, just the minimum. but because we are ordered by allah to be good in the workplace, through our work ethic and manner we are able to get much further compared to others if we exercise this correctly. I have firsthand seen the benefit of having good manners and speaking good and avoiding gossip etc etc. Only now is science coming to understand the complex dynamical benefits of what we have already been doing for over 1.5 millenia. for example fasting.

Please try to give advice only based on quran and sunnah and the opinions of sahabah and scholars. It's not overthinking our brains functions like that,our brain has to combine lots of old information to create new one,and that's took lots of information that is unnecessary for you coz ur life purpose is not that Big that you can use all of your thinking,if you want to stop it then you have to stop you overall thinking process,so don't call it useless information ,co you don't need it,you can't stop overthinking coz it's not overthinking,our minds works like that
